Opposition demands to present CAG Report, Gandhinagar

Opposition Party, Congress protested in Assembly demanding tabling of the CAG Reports, which it claimed “exposes” corruption in the BJP Government, in the House.
The Congress MLAs had yesterday submitted a memorandum to Governor Kamla, saying the CAG report “exposing BJP Government’s corruption” has not been tabled in the Assembly despite a Constitutional requirement.
Defending the state government, spokesman, Jaynarayn Vyas says that there was only a notice to present the CAG report as soon as possible but it is not mandatory.
After all this it is possible that the audit report of CAG may be presented on 30th March.

Bengali workers join the jeweler’s strike since 12 days, Rajkot

The jeweler’s strike protesting increase tax in excise and custom duty is going on since last 12 days. The Bengali workers of Rajkot Soni Bazaar, have also joined this strike. These workers earn upto 4,000 per month and because of the strike have not got their salary and is poor condition. The workers are appealing to the Government to think about people like them. Approximately there are 20,000 workers that are suffering because of the strike.

Thieves stole 2 kg gold taking advantage of power failure, Surat

On 27th March, power went off in the C Mahenra and Company in Diamond Park of Surat. The contractor and manager of the company went out for a walk leaving the work to the workers. During this time the thieves looted gold worth 2 kg worth 60 lakh rupees. Police suspects the one of the worker might have stolen the gold. Police suspects workers’ involvement and is investigating further in the case.

Friends creates Facebook Page to seek Justice for Ra.One Animator, Mumbai

Charu Khandal and her friend Vikrant are battling for their lives at Kokilaben Hospital. They met an accident after returning from dinner when a speeding Honda City hit the auto in Oshiwara, pushing her into a coma. The driver was drunk yet police released him on bail with 5,000/- penalty.
Her friends have created a facebook web page – Justice for Charu and Vikrant, to get justice for both of them. Anybody can visit the page and share their good wishes and can also appeal to Government to do justice for them.
Actor Raza Murad went to hospital to meet her and Shah Rukh Khan too showed concern and prayed for her speedy recovery.

Chief Wild Life Warden Visits affected areas by leopards, Junagadh

After increasing number of cases in attacks of man-eater leopards, the chief wild life warden of state visited the affected areas of villages. The leopards has hunted 4 children in last sometime. In last one year total 13 people of nearby villages from Gir, have fallen prey to the leopards.

Health Department seized cheap quality cold drinks and candies, Ahmedabad

Health Department of Corporation is taking strict actions against those who are selling unhealthy food products this summer. The health department raided in areas such as Meghaninagar and Saijpur and seized 100 bottles of cheap quality cold drinks, 300 packages of pepsi cola and bulk of ice cream and candies. These cold drinks were without registered trade mark and did not had a manufacturing or expiry date on it.
