As a result of inflation everything has become very expensive. In a way this has resulted in forcing people to live in joint family once again.
Once such family resides in Juhu of Mumbai in which their are total 27 members and they live in a small home as none of them can afford to live separately. The system of nuclear family is getting more and more expensive as rates of housing has reached sky making it difficult for common man to buy new homes.
According to 2011 Census there has been an increase of 56% in joint family system at suburbs of Mumbai whereas there is an increase of 37% in Mumbai city.
