Kalupur police of Ahmedabad nabbed a gang that used to trap the car drivers and later steal their mobile phones. This gang first used to target the car drivers and diver the driver’s mind with any random topic, and during this the other member used to steal the mobile phone kept on the disk board of the car. Police nabbed one accused and recovered 3 stolen mobile phones from him alongwith Rs. 1700 cash.

3 month old Nehabanu Afreen, died out of cardiac arrest after she battered by her father, Farooq. Reshmabanu, her mother, accused that Farooq used to torture her and her baby as she gave birth to a baby girl. Reshmanau was inconsolable on the death of her baby and demanded that Farooq, should be severely punished in such a manner that it should set an example for people who in lust for boy child ignores their female babies.
Farooq is in police custody as of now, and everybody wants critical punishment for the accused.

ACB is taking strict actions against the corrupt officers who takes bribe. Interestingly, compared to last year the number of corrupt officers caught by ACB has increased. In 2009, 223 officers were caught taking bribe, in 2010, 218 officers were caught taking bribe. Compared to this in 2012 there are 70 cases filed till April itself and the total number of accused are 90.
Talking about April month itself than there are 15 cases lodged till now in which 5 cases of police department are filed and 8 accused are caught.
The cases of taking bribe are increased in Ahmedabad and Surat. Two major bribe cases of 2012 are one of DVSP of Surat, taking bribe of Rs. 1.5 lakh and the second was of an ONGC officer who was taking bribe of Rs. 4 lakh.

18 gets life imprisonment with Rs. 5,800 penalty whereas the other 5 are awarded with 7 years of jail with Rs. 3,800 of penalty in the Ode massacre during communal riots of 2002. 23 people were burnt alive in a house in Ode during the 200 Gujarat Massacre.
The court has also noted that these people did not have any criminal background except the massacre.
The defense lawyer said that they will challenge this verdict in the High Court.

After the murder of two jewelers in Mumbai, the jewelers of Mumbai protested out of anger and also brought the dead bodies of the duo on roads demanding justice. The jewelers gave an ultimatum of 10 days to the police to nab both the accused who looted and murdered the jeweler and his manager. They also threatened that if the police will not nab the accused as soon as possible, then they can do extreme protest as well. Looking at the severity of the protest, Mumbai Police Commissioner and higher officers reached the spot and consoled the jewelers stating that the case will be handed over to the Crime Branch for investigating the entire case.

An ill calf was lying on the road since morning at Hatkeshwar Circle of Ahmedabad. When residents saw him they tried to give him water and later contacted the organizations that look after the animals and also contacted AMC. But everyone gave the same answer that their officials are on the way will reach within a short period of time. But no one arrived to help the poor calf. At the end, the calf died awaiting for help. Residents blames that the Corporation officials did not reached the spot to save the calf.
Tv9 reporter called the AMC official twice but firstly he made and excuse of being in a meeting and later did not gave a proper answer.

A 300C helicopter of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Rotary Wing Academy’s Schweizer had to land on the terrace of five-storey Maitri apartment due to technical problems. But both the pilot and the trainee are safe. No loss occurred during this emergency landing but the wings of the chopper were broken.
