Acropora coral which was once found in abundance in Jamnagar is now extinction. Therefore state forest department under a project has brought Acropora Coral species to Jamnagar’s Marine National Park. Acropora are brought from Lakshadweep a and coastal regions of Tamil Nadu.
The forest department will get the coral over the next five years with the help of the World Bank-sponsored integrated coastal zone management project.

In the first case, robbers attacked a woman who was sleeping outside her house. They snatched her golden earrings injuring the woman. When her husband came to her rescue they injured him as well who is now admitted at Civil Hospital.
Similarly, the robbers attacked a house and attacked a couple on protesting. Both the incidents are of Dehgam area. On the other hand police has started interrogating villagers to find clues about the robbers.

A police constable, alongwith one more, was nabbed for drinking in public place and thereafter driving in drunken state. On the other hand the constable claim that he is an ex-army official and that he has permission for drinking. But he was nabbed on the charges of drinking in public place. Police has also seized a bottle of alcohol from him. The duo also rammed their car with another car. Police has filed complain of drinking alcohol in public on the constable and of accident on the other person.

Surat police nabbed a man with a German made pistol and after interrogating him various other names came into light. Everyone gave one or the other name regarding the pistol among them are land broker, who said that a 12th standard student sold the pistol to him, whereas the student said that his skating coach gave the pistol to him to sell it and finally the coach claimed that he got this pistol from sweeper of Surat Corporation.
However, according to police, a German pistol was stolen from the car of a builder and police suspects that this is the same pistol. Police is interrogating all of them to solve the mystery of the pistol.

An Audi car driver rammed his car in two auto rickshaws. In the accident four drivers who were having their food besides the autos were injured. The car driver was drunk and was driving his car at high speed. The injured drivers were admitted in hospital among which one is serious. After the accident the onlooker grabbed the Audi driver and took him to the Vile Parle police station. The police nabbed the car driver and sent him for a medical test.

Biker gang has struck back in city breaking glasses of cars. According to eyewitness gang of six on bike broke glass of seven cars in the same night. Earlier a member of biker gang was nabbed from Vastrapur. Satellite police has started the investigation. Many questions are raised like what is the motive of this gang behind breaking the glass as no loot is reported after breaking the glass of car.

Approximately 50 couples who wedded 50 years ago married once again on Sunday. After completing 50 years of successful marriage the couples exchanged garlands once again. This time their children and grand children had the privilege to witness their wedding. The marriage procession of these couples was carried out in a traditional manner. They were taken to the venue on decorated camel carts. These golden couples set an example of happy and successful married life for the youngsters. The theme of their marriages was according to their time.

On Sunday April 29, 72 Indian fishermen were released from Pakistan Maritime Security Agency. They were held from Arabian Sea off Jakhau coast on Friday April 27.
The PMSA personnel had seized 14 Indian fishing boats off Jakhau coast, with 85 fishermen on board, on April 27, and detained them mid-sea.
13 fishermen and 13 boats are still to be freed.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called a meeting on Monday to take a call on Sugar and cotton export.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Sharad Pawar and Commerce and Textiles Minister Anand Sharma will be present in the meet.
The Textiles Ministry has been insisting on adequate availability of cotton for the domestic industry, Pawar and Modi want natural fibre shipments under the Open General Licence (OGL) to ensure adequate prices for growers.
Earlier Gujarat CM Narendra Modi has commented that the Central Government policy’s are anti farmer.

Where normally every year mangoes used to arrive during the March month and contrary to that even after the completion of the entire month of April, no signs of mangoes are seen in the markets of Bharuch. Experts says that this is the outcome of changes in the climate and hence the mangoes will arrive late this year.
