Police halted an ongoing marriage ceremony in the Ramdevpara area of Junagadh. The reason was that both the bride and the groom were minors. The boy is 17 years old whereas the girl is 15 years old. All the family members ended up in police station and the father of the groom claimed that both bride and groom were adults. But when asked for age proof he was not able to provide with one. However, both the bride and groom are firm in their decision to marry each other.
As of now police has nabbed the parents as will as priest for practicing child marriage.
