NCTC to combat terrorism – Central Government

Despite Chief Minister of 12 states are demanding roll back of NCTC Union Home Ministry is adamant on setting up of National Counter Terrorism Center.

On Saturday morning for the meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the proposed National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). The leaders were headed to Vigyan Bhawan for the meeting.

The NCTC will have three divisions responsible for collection and dissemination of information, analysis and operations and will be placed within the Intelligence Bureau.

Chidambram is advocating constitution of NCTC as it will be a combine force to fight terrorism.

City swimmers preparation for London Olympics, Ahmedabad

City swimmers are all set to participate in the London Olympics. All the 5 candidates will participate in the Trial Federation Cup Tournament in Hyderabad organized by Swimming Federation of India from 1st to 3rd June. If they will win there then they will get a ticket to London Olympics.
These 5 swimmers will have tough competition in Hyderabad as well because there they will have to compete with swimmers from Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Korea, and Bangkok. The swimmers are working hard day and night to reach the Olympics.

Telecom Companies likely to increase call rates

TRAI has made many recommendations for the telecom companies following which the companies are not happy. TRAI has recommended, among other proposals, a reserve price of Rs.3,622 crore for 1 MHz pan-India spectrum, which is around 10 times higher than the price at which 2G licences were allocated in 2008. Telephone tariffs will go up 100 %, hitting customers hard if the government accepts the sector regulator’s proposals on spectrum auction.
Recently, Vodafone company has increased its call rates by 20%.

Watch how a Dog Threatened a Leopard , Maharashtra

On Friday in a village of Maharashtra a dog and leopard fell in an open well for 12 long hours. Both fought with each other and at the end dog came victorious. It was unusual to see that dog was threatening dangerous animal like leopard.

In Bhenda village of Ahmednagar a leopard was chasing dog, and in this chase both fell in same well. The same dog that was running fearing leopard suddenly got transformed after felling in well. The dog started barking at Leopard as result leopard was sitting mute in a corner of well.

Forest department reached the incident spot and captured the leopard thus both lives were saved.

Civil Hospital flooded with patients, Ahmedabad

With increasing heat the number of diseases is also increasing. Every day one or the other person is admitted in Civil Hospital complaining of fever, dehydration, vomiting, etc. The number of jaundice, typhoid, cholera and malaria is increasing. Apart from this the number of skin diseases is also increasing. Patients at Civil Hospital of Ahmedabad has seen a tremendous increase in the number of patients everyday.

Gujarat’s first Golden Temple, Bhavnagar

Gujarat get its first Golden Temple. This temple is of Swaminarayan God and is made with 70 kg Gold. Total 21 crore rupees were spent in renovating this oldest temple of Swaminarayan Community. The reason behind making this temple of gold is that before 200 years said that one day this temple will be of gold. The God stayed in this temple of Gadhda for 29 years. The temple will be kept open on Monday for the devotees.

Cheat case lodged against Tantrik and his sons, Ahmedabad

A tantrik and his 3 sons are accused of cheating people for lacs of rupees. A woman in order to help her husband to leave awful habit of alcohol and gambling, contacted the tantrik. But she accused him of cheating her for almost one lac rupees and also selling her land and take away that money as well. She was not alone, one more man accused him of cheating for 8-10 lac rupees in the name of curing his father’s gambling habit. Police has lodged a complain against the tantrik and his three sons.

9 gets life imprisonment, 31 acquitted in Ode Malav Bagol Massacre, Anand

9 accused were sentenced life imprisonment in the Ode Malav Bagol Massacre in which 3 people were burnt alive. Special Court declared judgement against the accused, 200 documents were presented and statements of 67 witnesses were taken. One more accused was convicted in the same case and he was sentenced six months imprisonment. Whereas 31 people were acquitted.

Amitabh Bachchan, Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar were present on the stage where suddenly the crowd started increasing which disturbed the stars. Mohammad Maaz and Hetal Shah were nabbed by Surat Crime Branch as they were about to cheat one more victim. This real life Bunty-Bubbly were on the verge of cheating an NRI woman who runs a saloon. They threatened her acting as Crime Branch officials and accused her of running illicit business. They asked her to pay 15 thousand rupees if she does not want to file a case. The lady on the other hand contacted the Crime Branch and caught them red-handed. Both the husband and wife has a criminal record and has tried to cheat many people in the past as well.
