Tv9 Save River Campaign exposes junk duped in rivers, Amreli

Since last 30 years there is water problem in Amreli district.A dam was also made at the river but the dam was never filled with water because of which it was demolished. The river is all dried up now and many gutters and junks of Amreli are dumped in this river only. As a result of this the river is lifted up by 10 foot.
The political leader of Amreli has also expressed grief regarding the river and has said that they will help in the development of not only this but all rivers of the district.
Environmentalist has also said that most of the rivers are loosing its sand which is very important for them.
After Tv9 Save River Campaign politicians and environmentalists are ensuring that they will do their best to improve the condition of these rivers.

Effect of Tv9 Save River Campaign, Ahmedabad

After the initiation of Tv9 through its Save River Campaign people are too coming forward and appealing the authorities to save the rivers.
Residents of CTM area near Sabarmati River came forward and complained about the contaminated water of gutters and chemicals that is dumped through Kharikat Canal.
These people demanded to solve this problem as soon as possible.
Where on one hand people have wholeheartedly supported our campaign and on the other hand AMC has took the command for solving the problem in the areas that we covered and has also ensured to solve these water problems completely.
Apart from the people, and AMC, police as well as advocates are supporting or campaign.

Country made liquor made in the middle of Tapi River, Surat

Following our Save River Campaign we found out that in the pious Tapi river illegal work of making country made liquor is going on. Under the open sky and on the island like area of Tapi river this activity is practiced openly. Bootleggers arrives after the liquor is made and take away the liquor in boats.
This activity is going on under the Savji Korat Bridge and the area is a little away from Kapodra Police Station.
When these bootleggers saw our team they ran away leaving behind the entire ingredients and instruments of making the liquor. This is not just one place but many areas on the bank of the Tapi river have become the center of such bhattis.

One nabbed for mixing spurious coal in original, Bharuch

Police has busted a scam in which duplicate coal was mixed in the original coal. The main accused is nabbed. These people used to make two trucks of coal by mixing the duplicate coal in on truck filled with the original coal. This illegal act was done with the consent and partnership of the truck drivers.
Transporters informed the police about this practice following which the police busted this entire scam. They used to mix spurious coal in the original one while the trucks are on the way to GNFC.

Following the resignation of Sanjay Joshi, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi has assured BJP chief Nitin Gadkari that he will arrive for the national executive meet. Joshi handed over his resignation to Gadkari stating that he does not want any controversy in the party because of him.
Modi and Joshi have been at loggerheads and the recent decision by Gadkari to induct Joshi into the executive was not taken kindly by the CM. Modi had threatened to boycott the meeting if Joshi was present.
Announcing the end of a “small controversy”, Gadkari said Joshi had offered to step down. He declared that Modi would “work with us to strengthen the party”.

A resident of Bapunagar area commits suicide following family dispute. His wife slapped him in public because of which he felt humiliated and as a result he committed suicide. He was mentally tortured by his wife and in-laws every now and then. Hence, he hanged himself and committed suicide. Police has lodged a complaint against his wife and in-laws.

While the shooting of a Gujarat movie was going on an accident occurred. A scene was been shot where the heroine was pointing a gun towards the actor and was supposed to shoot. But because of the irresponsibility of the fighter the shooting turned fatal. The fighter kept a bigger cracker downward and because of this where a small blast was expected instead a huge blast took place. In this the cast and crew sustained minor injuries. Fortunately no body has major injuries but this could have turn fatal.
