Though people’s bags are checked by GRP at the railway platforms the parcels that are transferred through the railways are not checked or scanned at all.
RPF is responsible to check the parcels but we found no scanner installed for the checking, also no RPF official was there with the parcel.
However, the railway officials when contacted said that the parcel supervisor and staff checks individual parcels.
Similar irresponsibility was seen at other railway stations as well. This irresponsibility can lead to fatal attacks and terrorists can target the railway stations easily.
