On Tuesday Netrotsav puja was conducted at Jagannath Temple. It is one of the pujs which celebrated before the procession takes place. On this day Lord Jagannath returns backs to his temple with brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra from their Mama’s Place (Maternal Uncle). It is believed that at Mama’s place deity enjoy food and after eating too many mangoes they contract sort of problem in their eye which is called Ankh aavi chhe. Thus during Netrotsav their eyes are blind folded with band.
After Netrotsav celebration Dhwajrohan was conducted which was done by first citizen of city and Mayor Asit Vora. Devotees are eagerly waiting for the magnificent procession which is scheduled on June 21.
