After the death of a resident doctor in VS Hospital after contracting CCHF virus from a patient, Health Department has become alert. The department has started a health check up drive in Kochariya village of Bawla Taluka as this are is prone to contract this virus easily. Health Minister, Jaynarayan Vyas, appeals people to maintain hygiene and beware of the animals as this disease is contracted from animals and there is no vaccine for this virus.
The health check up will be held in 9 villages for 14 days. Animals are also checked for the insect that is found in animals because of which this disease is spread.
Teams are also formed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the villages. According to villagers the cleanliness drive is done in 15 years. As of now Health Department, Cattle Department and Cleaning Department are on a cleanliness and checking drive in the village.
