5 year old Mahi lost the battle of her life as she was trapped in a borewell for 80 hours. The rescuers pulled out a lifeless body of Mahi from 68 feet deep borewel ditch. The postmortem said the child had suffocated to death within six hours of falling into the ditch on Wednesday night.
Hours after this fatal incident, a minor boy, Roshan, in Kolkata fell in a borewell. Roshan Ali fell in 30 – 40 feet deep well on Sunday. Fire brigade and Army started their rescue operation but unfortunately Roshan died inside the borewell.
Such incidents of kids falling and dying in borewells are increasing in number.
