Its a Political conspiracy says Ashok Chavan on Adarsh scam, Mumbai


Former Chief Minister, Ashok Chavan, expressing his anger against his inclusion in the CBI chargesheet on the Adarsh Housing Society scam, called it a conspiracy by political rivals. Claiming himself innocent he said that he has been trapped in this to finish his political career.
The chargesheet has come as a shock to the Chavan camp as the former CM was looking at political rehabilitation following the report of the state-appointed judicial inquiry committee ruling that the land belonged to the state.

Father immolates self with three children, Mumbai


Andheri residents, Mohammad Yusuf, 45, sets self ablaze alongwith his three kids. He was staying in Ansari Mohalla, Gilbert Hill in Andheri (W). Father and the kids has sustained 80 – 85% burns and are in critical condition.
He took this extreme step because he was harassed by a builder who demolished his house under SRA scheme and did not even gave him a compensation to move to another place.
Hence he decided to kill self with kids.

Baby girl dies due to chocking of chapati, Hyderabad


Baby Anvita died about half an hour after her mother Rajitha dropped her at Lakshmi Baby Care Center. The girl died after choking on a piece of chapatti she was being fed. The nugget of chapatti dunked in milk spilled into her air passage making the infant breathless. After this the baby care center officials took her to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Family members have blamed the care center officials of negligence and a case has been lodged. Parents of the baby are working and they send the baby in this care center since last 7 months. Hence the entire incident is a alarm for other parents as well.

Thane police has nabbed down 16 chain snatchers and seized jewellery worth 1.5 crore rupees. They also seized 25 bikes from these thieves and in this big achievement the main mastermind behind all these theft is also under police arrest.

These cunning thieves used to target females and old people. It was also a challenging task to the police to trace these chain snatchers. At last Crime Branch succeeded in nabbing them from Ambiwali area of Kalyan.
The gang had a unique technique, instead of selling the stolen jewellery they used to mortgage them.

Fire engulfed in the textile market at Ring Road of Surat. After great efforts the fire was controlled. However, this incident has raised many questions regarding the safety of textile market and the surrounding area. This is because this area is very congested and the fire can turn fatal as well. Fire brigade as well faces many problems to reach the spot and also the parking facility is very poor here which creates traffic jam.
After the incident various shops got notice to install fire system in their shops and upgrade their old systems.
Fire department received 11 calls of fire from this area.

Corporation becomes active after 5 dies of cholera in Dhanera, Banaskantha


Five people have died of cholera in the last 3-4 days in Dhanera town of Banaskantha district while nearly 200 others have taken ill with diarrhoea-like symptoms. On Wednesday Dhanera and 9 surrounding villages was declared as cholera affected.

The reason for outbreak of disease is dirty water coming out of drinking water tap. Drinking water gets contaminated as at many places taps are adjacent to gutter lines.
Corporation has become active now and has started cleanliness drive.

Notice issued to 175 dilapidated buildings, Vadodara


After a dilapidated building collapsed in Vadodara which damaged many vehicles, corporation has issued a notice to owners of 175 such buildings. But yet no signs of demolishing such buildings are seen.
Deputy Commissioner himself is accepting that despite of giving advance notice these buildings are not demolished.

Dead body found from parked car, Ahmedabad


A dead body of 43 year old Jagdish Prasad was found from Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad. A local passing from Akash Tower on Judges Bungalow Road spotted blood dripping from the car and he immediately informed the Vastrapur police.
Police also found a mobile phone from the man which revealed the identity of him. Jagdish used to work as a driver of rented car. Family of the deceased says that he did not returned home after he left in the night.
The car owners as well says Jagdish’s mobile phone was switched off since morning. No clue regarding the motive of this murder is found yet. However, police is investigation further in the case.
