One accused nabbed for stealing luxurious cars of renowned companies such as Mercedes, Chevrolet, etc.
Surat SOG detained Tejaram Rajput during a patrolling drive. During the interrogation the entire scam of selling these luxurious cars that are stolen from Mumbai to sell in Gujarat. He used to steal these cars from Mumbai and Thane district of Maharashtra take them to Kolkata where he changed their numbers. He also prepared bogus letters of a fake company named Auto-Scan Automobile Pvt. Ltd. After taking an NOC he used to sell these cars in different parts of Gujarat such as Navsari, Vadodara, Banaskanth, Mehsana, etc.
Police has seized 8 luxurious cars from him. Mumbai Dharavi police has nabbed 5 from Varanasi and 5 from Gujarat.
Investigation is going on in the case.
