Accused of running a gambling den at Sudama Resort, Dinesh Kalgi, surrendered before Navrangpura police on Sunday. When he entered the police station at 10:25am, the investigation officer was not present.
Kalgi’s lawyers made an application in the metro court alleging that the police intended to detain Kalgi illegally and asked for h is bail. So Navarangpura police was asked to present Kalgi in the court. Police interrogated Kalgi and after his statement his bail was granted.
However, court has asked to submit his passport.
