An Unknown devotee has donated golden charan paduka to lord Balaji at Tirupati. The paduka weighs 22 kg gold and it estimated value is 6 crore rupees. Trust of Tirupati has not disclosed the devotee’s name who has donated it. Earlier also expansive gifts like this has been donated to temple which is richest temple in India.
Mahesh Bhaskar Mhatre, a bogus custom officer was nabbed by the Crime Unit of the Bhiwandi police. 34 year old Mahesh was living in a retired school teacher’s house at Shahapur, Bhiwandi since last 1.5 years.
He lured the retired school tacher and others in the vicinity by promising to get the gold biscuits at cheaper rates from Customs. He also promised them to give jobs in customs and collected a sum of Rs 32.90 lakh from the villagers.
After cheating several people he disappeared following which the victims lodged a police complaint and hence the accused was nabbed.
The police team recovered 379 gm of gold ornaments, a Skoda car, a motorcycle, two laptops, gold polished silver biscuits, uniforms used by customs officers, 7/12 extracts used for land dealings, blank certificates of schools and Rs 70,000 cash from the accused.
Accused of stealing ATM machines from various cities of Gujarat and Rajasthan are nabbed by Surendranagar LCB. The recent ATM theft in Bharuch is also done by these accused. Hence, Bharuch Crime Branch has taken the custody of both the accused who are now on 7 day remand. During the interrogation both the accused accepted their crime and police has also recovered the debris of thrown ATM machine from Narmada canal.
These accused used to invest the money they recovered from stolen ATM machines.
On Monday Bombay High Court acquitted 5 accused in best bakery case while confirmed life imprisonment of four accused. n the aftermath of the riots triggered by the burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra on February 27, 2002, 14 members of a family were killed in a mob attack on the bakery in Vadodara on March 1. The best bakery case was the first case which was moved out of state for judgement.
A day after the bakery was burnt down by a mob on March 1, 2002, the owner’s 18-year-old daughter Zaheera Sheikh lodged a police complaint against 21 accused.
After reinvestigation, the trial court in Mumbai convicted nine of the 21 accused and sentenced them to life. Eight others were acquitted while the remaining four are yet to be arrested.
After Dhanera cholera epidemic has struck Mithilanagari village of Navsari. 79 people were admitted to hospital complaining vomiting and diarrhoea of which 8 are in critical condition. District Health Minister has stated that water contamination and pile of garbage in area is responsible for disease outbreak.
Groups of doctor has been deployed in different areas to collect blood samples to sent it for examination. Corporation has undertaken cleanliness of garbage and filth in the area.
Prime suspect in the missing Bollywood starlet Laila Khan case, Parvez Tak was on Monday sent to police custody till July 19. Parvez tak the third husband of Laila’s mother has confessed that he has killed actress laila khan including five other family members and buried them in backyard of farm house of Laila Khan in Jammu and Kahmir.
Mumbai police brought Parvez Tak from J&K on Monday and was produced in the court. Parvez Tak in his confession has said that he was angry on decision of his wife saleena of giving charge of property to her second husband Asif. In fit of anger he along with his friend killed Saleen. Laila and other family members were killed as they had witnessed the murder.
However Parvez Tak has been constantly changing his statement, police has taken his custody for further investigation.
Kidnapped from Mumbai’s busy Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and taken to Haridwar, Sangita will now meet her family. Kidnapper, Raju took her to Haridwar and forced the three year old girl to bag. However, now Haridwar police has arrested Raju on the basis of the CCTV footage.
A team from the Railway Police will be sent to Haridwar to confirm the identity of the accused and will accordingly seek his custody. The girl will also be reunited with her family within a short period of time.
In a shocking incident, a 16 year old teenage boy killed his elder sister in Vatva area of Ahmedabad.
Accused Kishore, his elder sister Hetal and his other cousins were sleeping in one room. Suddenly during midnight, Kishore attacked his sister with sharp weapon. Hearing the cries from room their parents rushed to the room where they saw injured Hetal and Kishore was standing besides her bed holding the weapon.
The girl was rushed to L G Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Kishore wanted to get all the money and property and hence he planned the entire strategy of killing his family. However, the family members claims that this was the outcome of a quarrel between the siblings.
As of now police has seized the murder weapon and has detained the teen.
A female ACP of Amravati is harassed by her in-laws for dowry. Shweta Khedar serves as Assistant Commissioner of Police in Amrawati Crime Branch. The ACP in her police complaint stated that her husband had demanded Rs5 lakh for starting a business and she had fulfilled his demand but even after that they kept harassing her.
She married Mahesh Hade on February 18, 2011. But within two months of their marriage her husband and mother-in-law started harassing and torturing her over petty issues. As of now police has arrested ACP’s husband and mother-in-law for allegedly harassing her physically and mentally.
