Mumbai police was successful in tracing a woman thief on the basis of CCTV footage and social networking site facebook. In Khar region a woman along with her daughter came for shopping and swept purse of another client of the shop. The entire incident was captured in CCTV of the shop. The accused did payment of the shopping by credit card. Thus based on the information of credit card police befriended daughter of the accused on facebook. Thus got success in catching the mother. In this manner through facebook the crime was detected by Mumbai Police.
