Was Pune blast to avenge IM murder of IM operative Qateel Siddiqui


Speculations are made that blast in pune was planted to avenge the death of death of Qateel Siddiqui in Pune Jail.

Maharashtra Home Minister R.R. Patil on Friday confirmed that Pune Police commissioner Gulabrao Pol had received an anonymous letter, written in Marathi, a few days before four low intensity explosions rattled the city on Wednesday evening.

In the letter it was written that he anonymous letter had mentioned that blasts could take place between June 13 and August 15 at different locations named in it

Police suspected that Qateel was an Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative allegedly involved in several terror cases, including the German Bakery blast and the Bangalore terror attack. He was strangled to death by two inmates at Pune’s Yerawada Jail in June.
