FCI blames CWC and contractor for rotting wheat, Vadodara


On August 10 in Vadodra railway yard around 1,000 metric ton wheat was found getting drenched in rain. When many Districts of Gujarat are declared as scarcity struck due to negligence wheat was left to rot in rain.

Area Manger of FCI has alleged CWC and Contractor responsible for it. CWC officer VK Tyagi who was silent on the incident so far has now confessed that it was their responsibility to take care of the grain. But he also added that the contractor was responsible too for the loss.

Newborn baby girl found buried alive, Nasik


In Nsik a news born baby girl was found half buried. Children playing in the area heard crying of the baby and informed others. The baby was then brought to hospital. According to doctor the girl was delivered 4 hours ago. Police investigation is underway to find the culprit.

Gujarat HC stayed the illegal construction at Mughal Palace


On Thursday Gujarat High Court stayed illegal construction of palace in Shahibaugh. PIL was filed against Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Society which was making illegal addition in the palace. The PIL was filed by Umang Hutheesing, founder of Hutheesing Herirtage Foundation.

In his PIL he submitted that submitted that the historical building has been damaged with the illegal addition of extra rooms, elevator shafts and staircases. It has been submitted that additions and alterations, like galleries made of cement, are not congruent with the original design.

Police jeep rammed into people sleeping on footpath, Ahmedabad


In Dudheshwar area of Ahmedabad a police jeep rammed people sleeping on footpath on August 14. In the accident three people were injured, among them one was critically injured and was shifted to civil hospital.

No FIR has been lodged against the driver of police jeep.
