Gang breaking car glasses once again active in Ahmedabad


The terror of car burglary has once again increased in Ahmedabad. On one occasion a Dr. Zaveri parked his car just for 5-10 minutes and the thieves broke glass of his car stealing valuables alongwith $2000, Rupees 10,000 cash, 2 ATM cards and 1 credit card.
Rishi Sharma’s car glass was also broken in the same manner from which 1 laptop, 1 hard disk, and other valuables were stolen.
Looking at the similarity in both the thefts, police suspects that car burglary gang is once again active in the city.

Dinginess in city has led to epidemic of malaria, Ahmedabad


There has been an increase in dinginess and dirt in the city. Pits can be seen everywhere in the city which has also increased the number of malaria cases. Talking about only August month than there are 2400 cases registered among this 4 patient died. In during the current year 7,000 cases have been registered of malaria.
There are several pits in many areas due to rains and this has increased in the number of mosquitoes. Also, residents complaints that no action is taken by the authority to clean their areas. There are many areas where people do not get pure water to drink. Hence, government hospitals are flooded with patients.

Osamu Suzuki visits Maruti plant site of Gujarat


Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corp (SMC) Chairman Osamu Suzuki visited the site in Hansalpur, Gujarat, where its subsidiary Maruti Suzuki India plans to set up a new manufacturing unit at an investment of Rs 4,000 crore.

Accompanied by Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) Chairman R C Bhargava, company Managing Director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi and state government officials, Suzuki inspected the 700-acre site besides meeting local people.

MSI is planning to set up a new plant that will have a capacity to roll out 2.5 lakh cars annually by 2015-16, besides setting up a skill development centre. Bhargava said no ground breaking ceremony for the plant, which is near Mehsana, could take place in next 2-3 months before infrastructure requirements are put in place.
