Food and Drugs Team raids at shops selling ghee, Rajkot


On Tuesday Food and Drugs department of Rajkot and Gandhinagar raided 5 shops selling ghee in Rajot and sent 15 samples in laboratory for test. Acting on a tip off police raided the shops, They received information that shop keepers are indulged in adulteration of ghee with Palmolive oil.

Babu Bajrangi, Maya Kodnani with 30 others convicted in Naroda Patiya case, Ahmedabad


A special court convicted 32, acquitted 29 in the Naroda Patiya massacre case in which 97 people were killed by a mob in the communal riots that followed the burning of the Sabarmati Express at Godhra.
The court has also convicted Maya Kodnani, former Minister in the Modi government and Naroda MLA and ex-VHP leader Babu Bajrangi.
97 innocent people were killed in the Naroda Massacre by a violent mob on 28 February 2002, a day after the Godhra train fire. The incident was one of the most horrific instances of violence reported during the 2002 communal riots.

All accused have been charged under IPC Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 323, 324, 325 (causing grievous hurt with deadly weapons) and 367 (kidnapping in order to cause grievous hurt).

- Complaint against 4 police personnel in murder of youth in custody, Ahmedabad


Few day ago in Banaskantha a youth died in Police Custody. Family members of the deceased refused to claim the body before action against the police. After their demand complaint has been filed against four police officers.

After the youth died in the custody it was shifted to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital.

According to Pune police they had received complaints from high profile parents that they are suspicious that their kid are taking drugs or alcohol. Acting on the tip off police kept watch on the pool party and found 700 minors partying and dancing in the pool.

SC upholds Mumbai attack accused Kasab’s death sentence


Today, the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, saying that waging war against the country was the primary and foremost offence committed by the Pakistani terrorist.
A bench of justices Aftab Alam and C K Prasad dismissed the plea of 25-year-old Kasab challenging his conviction and death sentence confirmed by the Bombay High Court.

The bench rejected his contention that he was not given a free and fair trial in the case.
It also held that the confessional statement given by Kasab, which he retracted during the trial, was very much voluntary except a very small portion.
Kasab and his nine fellow jihadis had attacked CST railway station, Cama Hospital, Vinoli Chaupati junction, Oberoi Hotel, Taj Hotel, Nariman House and Leopold cafe in Mumbai on November 26, 2008 resulting in killing of 166 people and injuring 238 others.

Bangladeshi detained for the second time, Ahmedabad


Ahmedabad police on Tuesday arrested a Bangladeshi citizen. The citizen is identifies as Meenar, he was earlier also arrested in 2010 along with her mother. Surprisingly he was arrested earlier for pick pocketing and for robbery.

Meenar confessed that he got to access in India border through a woman agent. He gave Rupees 2000 to the lady who helped him to cross the border.

16-year-old ran away from Mumbai found in Surat


Surat Police helped a father to reunite with his 16 year old boy who ran away from Mumbai without informing his family members. Sixteen year old Chaitanya Samat resident of Dahisar took train from Mumbai and reached Surat. Surat Police took him from railway station and handed it to missing squad. After taking phone numbers from Chaitanya his father was called from Mumbai.

On one side his father is thankful to Surat police that because of them he found his son while Chaitanya is cursing police that he was going Delhi and Surat police caught him in between.

According to missing squad officials such incidents are very common when children leave their houses after small disputes with family or friends.
