On Sunday two groups of same family came face-to-face following land dispute. In the entire mishap an old man died after getting hit by sharp weapons. The other 4 who are injured are admitted at private hospital of Rajkot.
Police rushed to the spot and is investigating further in the case. Police has filed a murder case and is in search of the accused.

Following the murder of a dalit youth the agitated mob went out of control and set a house on fire. The mob also made it difficult for the fire brigade to control the fire. Last night police fired tear gas shells to control the mob and were on their foot for the entire night.
Residents were angry at police and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. Police nabbed two accused during the night only and sent the dead body for postmortem.
But the anger of residents did not stop here, next day when the dead body of the youth was taken for cremation, mob started pelting stone at the police. Following this police did a lathi charge at the mob and again fired tear gas shells.
Such was the situation the senior police officials has to come to Tharoda area in order to bring the situation under control. The situation is still tensed in this area and police officials are deployed here.

On 24 June a youth was killed in Dhorananagar area of Rajkot. This agitated the residents who demanded the police to nab the accused as soon as possible. But before the police could take any action a group of mob set one house on fire. Though fire brigade controlled the fire, the angered mob at the end started pelting stone at police. Hence, the police had to release tear gas shells to bring the situation under control.
Learning about the incident, DCP, ACP, Additional Commissioner and other officials rushed to the spot.
Police has sent the deadbody for postmortem and has also nabbed one for killing him. Investigation is going on in order to reach the core of this murder case.

The massive fire in Mantralaya has revealed the reality of Disaster Management that has its main center in the Mantralaya. The disaster management is made to control the situations during earthquake, floods and other calamities. But during the fire this disaster management was not even able to call fire brigade for their rescue. It was only when Tribal Welfare Minister, Babanrao Pachpute, called the fire brigade that fire fighters arrived.
Disaster management failed completely during this massive fire similarly, when it failed during the terrorist attack on 26th November 2008.

A mother and her two sons are nabbed for stealing various mobile phones and ornaments worth 7 Lac rupees during a marriage function.
They were nabbed with the help of CCTV footage as well as the mobile locations. When they were about to sell the stolen things in market, they were nabbed by the police.
The accused used dress up and enter in any marriage functions and stole valuables from there. There main targets were such kind of functions.

While on one hand an Ursh of Khwaja Jald Nawaz Baba was going on which is worshiped not only by the Muslims but by Hindus as well. Thousands of people were gathered at this ursh and there was a fun fair going on nearby the dargah. In this fun fair in order to entertain people during a magic show indecent dance of girls was going on. Because of this the people present at the ursh were upset.
Both Hindus and Muslims go to this dargah every year and this incident has hurt the religious feeling of them. The people has appealed to take care against such activities. When contacted the police, they said that it was just for the sake of entertainment and was not indecent. Though earning money in this way is not a crime but one should also keep in mind that the religious feelings of others must also be not hurt.

Residents of Rajkot were agitated after they found Gurukul Swami in a room with a woman. After learning this the residents closed the doors of the room and later called the police. When police arrived they saw there were three people in the room in which there was Swami, a woman alongwith one another man.
The moment residents saw the woman in the room they started wrecking everything in the room and expressed displeasure. They also wrecked down the cars of Gurukul and blames that every now and then such activities keep on going in the Gurukul.
On the other hand the Swami claims that he is innocent. However, following the complaint of the residents police has detained all the three.
