Surat city gets 11 seats as per the new demarcation. This has made the city political stronger. There were 4 seats in Surat on which there was rule of BJP and now the city has 11 seats. This new demarcation will be beneficial for both the parties and now both Congress and BJP will try to lay their hands on the seats.
On the other hand the citizens have no idea about the elections or the current MLA of their area. They on the contrary blames that none of them has come to solve the problems of their area.

Guj Gov. Slams & alleges 16,706.99 crore corruption by state Gov. over CAG report

The most awaited CAG report has been finally tabled in Gujarat Assembly today. Congress is alleging Government for delay tabling of CAG report that too in absence of Congress Assembly. Congress MLAs were not present in the assembly as they have been suspended by the speaker.
Leader of opposition Shakti Sinh Gohil has alleged that CAG report reveals that Gujarat Government in last year has been involved 16 thousand 706.99 crore rupees
Shakti Sinh Gohil also alleged that even after 10 years government has not done proper investigation in 2002 Godhra massacre.
The report alleged that Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) bought natural gas from open market and sold it to the Adanis at a price lower than the purchase price, benefitting them Rs 70.54 crore. CAG was critical of GSPC’s operations in the Krishna Godavari basin.
