An auction of the ornaments were organized at the Siddhivinayak Temple. But shockingly not even a single devotee was present in this auction. Trustees believed that due to inflation this situation has emerged.
The temple authorities were upset with this as well and expect that next time the auction gets positive response as ever.

On one hand Kesar mango are grown in a very less amount this year due to climatic changes and on the other hand now controversy has raised regarding the commission of kesar mango. As per the order of High Court the merchants has to pay the commission that is applied on the selling of kesar mangoes. But merchants are not ready to pay the commission as a result of which Talada Market Yard officials have halted the auctioning of mangoes for an indefinite time period.
On the other hand merchants says that since ages farmers are paying the commission in vegetables as well. However, half of the farmers are ready to pay nominal commission but half of them refuses to pay any kind of commission.

On April 17 belongings of Mahatma Gandhi’s belongings were put for auction in Britain. Mahatma Gandhi`s round-lensed spectacles, a personal prayer book and the soil upon which he fell when he was assassinated are among an incredible lot of items that will be sold at an auction in Britain on 17 April.
29 such items were put in auction which fetched 80 lakh rupees.

Percussionist Shivmani and Actress Rati Agnihotri bought ornaments of Sidhdhivinayak God in an auction that is held in the temple. The auction was held during the celebration of Gudipadva festival.
