A three month old baby was thrashed by her father brutally. Neha Afreen was beaten up by her father because her father wanted a boy instead of a girl. Umar Farooq battered his daughter making several injured on her body. The girl also has various cigarette marks everywhere on her body.
Prior to this he even tried thrice to kill the baby. His cruelty towards his daughter was influenced by the birth of a baby boy to one of his close relatives.
He hits the baby with a blunt object and also stuffed her mouth with cloth to stop her cries. Neha is now battling for her life at Vani Vilas Hospital, after sustaining serious head injuries and suffering from trauma.
Karnataka Child Welfare Commission has given a notice to the family and has also demanded to lodge an attempt to murder case against him.
Umar Farooq was absconding after the attack but is now nabbed by the police. But the condition of the baby is still serious which is a matter of concern.
