Chaos during the demolition of Derasar, Ahmedabad

On Wednesday when AMC officials approached to demolish Sambhavnath Jain temple in Vejalpur they faced fierce protest by devotees of Jain Derasar. According to officials the temple building is illegal and need to be demolished.

The temple authorities have urged its devotees to assemble at the spot when corporation officials came to bring the temple down, thousands of devotees gathered to save their temple. Around 50 Maharaj Sahebs (religious leaders) had come to the temple, which the temple authorities had mentioned on the notice board.

Gang conducting robbery by breaking car glass active in Mumbai

Terror of a gang who used to break car glasses and do theft has increased in Mumbai city. These thieves break the glasses during midnight and stole away whatever valuables are present in the car. Residents blames that no action is taken yet by the police. When our team approached the police no favorable response was given. Hence people are under threat by these thieves.

Surrogate mother duped and raped by lover, Ahmedabad

A pregnant surrogate mother alleged rape on accused Rajkumar Jadav of raping her twice and cheating her for 1.60 lakh rupees. The victim gave her first baby in adoption for 2 lakh rupees but her lover gave her only 40,000 rupees and took away the entire amount.
The victim stays with her mother and sisters and for the second time decided to choose surrogacy for money and became pregnant for the second time.
She has accused her lover for raping her twice. But further she also said that she want to marry him for the sake of his mother and sisters as only she can improve him. Police has as of now lodged a complaint on the basis of the victims statement who is undergoing treatment in Civil Hospital and is on a look out of the accused.

Minor girl tortured by employers, Mumbai

A minor girl was tortured both mentally and physically at the house where she was working as a helper. The girl was undergoing this inhumane torture for since last 2 years. She was denied stepping out of the house as well. Only once in a day was she supposed to step out of the house that is the time when she has to throw the garbage of the house.
The minor girl belonged to a poor family and a woman named Kavita brought her to Mumbai from Orissa promising her educating alongwith house hold chores.
The girl was also beaten up by hot spoons and rods.
A woman named Mantasha Yusuf Saiyad when saw the poor condition of the girl decided to free her from this torture. This lady took the girl to police station and lodged a complaint against the accused couple.

67 houses cleaned of encroachment by AMC, Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation demolished 67 houses in various areas of Ahmedabad. However, residents blamed that the officials did not give them any kind of notice and demolished their houses. Many of them also accuses that the officials have taken money to remove this encroachment.
However, when asked the officers said that the houses are removed under Town Planning Act scheme and constructions under road reservations are demolished.
Yet questions have arose as to why AMC demolished these houses during monsoons only, and the construction work of many houses started recently then why no action was taken then.

Child beaten up by landlord with hot iron rod, Mumbai

A minor boy was brutally beaten up by his landlord suspecting him of theft. The minor boy was working at the man’s house as domestic help. He did not stopped at that and later on beat him up with hot iron rod. This left several burn marks on the face, hand and other parts of the boy’s body.
Since last two months the boy was working at the man’s home. However, yet the family members have not registered a police complaint against the man.

3 dies in 30 minutes by jumping in Sabarmati River, Ahmedabad

Three people died in city by jumping into the Sabarmati river within 30 minutes on Saturday.
In the first case, a woman jumped off from Gandhi Bridge. Localites immediately informed the fire brigade officials who dig out the dead body from river. No identity of the woman is found yet.
Another incident occurred when an old man went in the river to take a bath near Ellisbridge. He died by drowning in the river as he did not know swimming.
And in the third case, a youth jumped off from Jamalpur bridge. The youth aged around 25 years also died by drowning.
Hence, in merely 30 minutes three people died in the city.

Harassed by Money Lenders, Man commits suicide, Jamnagar

Vasantbhai Parmar of Jamnagar took money from 3 people to marry his daughter. But soon after the marriage the usurers started torturing him for getting back their money with interest. At last he was tortured to such an extent that Vasantbhai committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house.
He has left a suicide note in which he clearly stated that it was the torture of usurers that forced him to take this extreme step.
His son has lodged a complaint against all the three accused and police investigation is going on in in this matter.

Youth boarded train to Pakistan by mistake, imprisoned since 7 years, Mumbai

Bhavesh out of depression of loosing his job and father was mentally disturbed. And in this chaos he by mistake boarded a train that was to reach Pakistan. When he reached there Pakistani he was imprisoned because he did not have any identification proof with himself.
Bhavesh has done engineering from NIIT and also got a good job but when his father died he became very disturbed mentally and because of constant absence from job he was fired. This was not tolerable for Bhavesh who lost control over his mind and since last 7 and a half years he is imprisoned in Pakistani jail.

Now his mother has decided to fight for her son and she is seeking help from the political leaders. Krishna Hegde has also had a word with S M Krishna and says that he is hopeful that Bhavesh will return very soon to his home.

Wanted man nabbed by police after 21 year, Ahmedabad

Ishwarlal Prajapati was absconding since last 21 years. He served as an Air Force Officer and after his retirement he joined income tax department as an officer. He was accused of misappropriating Rs. 40, 000 from the official accounts. He was sentenced three years of imprisonment by the court and was sent to Sabarmati Jail in 1991 where he served eight months.
He then got parole on medical grounds and was released from the jail. He never returned after that. He not only changed his name but also of his wife and children. He was untraceable till date. He first went to Ankleshwar and spent six years there and then shifted to Tejpura village near Halol in Panchmahal disctrict.
