Now a youth attempts suicide consuming poison in Metropolitan court, Ahmedabad


On Thursday a youth attempted suicide by consuming poison in Metropolitan court before judge. Immediately he was taken to civil hospital. The youth is identified as Maqsood. Talking to media personnel he said that he has been constantly tortured by police officers. Whereas it is suspected that it could be stunt as the youth has criminal record and has went to jail several times.

This is second such incident, few days ago a rape victim tried to kill herself by consumig poison in the Metropolitan court.

Complain against former MLA of Amreli


An old couple has knocked the doors of Court blaming the former MLA of Amreli, Virji Thummar and three others for cheating them. They accuses that as was decided by the court the MLA has not given them a shop in the shopping complex where they previously were having their residence.
However, the former MLA dismissed any such allegations and on the contrary blames that the complainant has possessed others houses. He says that this is a political stunt.

Abu Azmi not happy with court for punishing him for hate speech, Mumbai


A magistrate’s court on Monday convicted Samajwadi Party leader Abu Asim Azmi for a provocative speech he made in 2000 in Nagpada. The court sentenced him to two-year imprisonment and fined him Rs. 11,000.

On his conviction he is disappointed and said that after this he has freedom to say that even in court wrong judgements are made. Without taking name of any party he pointed fingers on many who have made hate speech in past and by which clashes did erupt but no action were taken against them at that time.

Supreme Court upholds validity of Right to Education Act


Supreme Court upheld constitutional validity of RTE Act. The Act makes it mandatory for private as well as Government schools to reserve 25% seats free for students from economical and social weaker section of the society. The court however, made it clear that the 25% quota would not be applicable to unaided minority institutions.
Accreditation of the schools that will not follow this rule will be cancelled.

Man assaulted by group of 15 drunk people


In Rajkot a man was attacked by group of 15 drunk people last night and this entire cruelty was caught in CCTV camera of a nearby building. Rajendra Limbasiya was attacked by 15 drunk people armed with sharp weapons.

Victim has sustained injuries and is admitted in Hospital. Complaint has been lodged police is probing the matter based on CCTV footage.
