A married woman in Mumbai committed suicide as she was tortured for dowry by her in-laws. She left a suicide note behind in which she clearly mentioned that she was locked up in a small room and was tortured both physically as well as mentally.
The in-laws of the deceased asked for flat as well as car which the poor lady was not able to afford.
On the basis of her note and complaint of her family, police has arrested her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law.

Delhi based Pankaj Kapoor, the owner of Kapoor Jewelers and his son Suchit Kapoor are accused of demanding dowry and torturing from Ahmedabad based girl who was married to Suchit Kapoor in 2008.
Lawyer of the complainant says that her in-laws started tortured her physically and mentally and demanded numerous things from her and at last sent her back home.
However, Pankaj Kapoor says that all the allegations are baseless and he has a letter written by the mother of his daughter-in-law in which she clearly stated that no dowry will be exchanged in this marriage. He further says that this is a conspiracy to take money from them.
Police has nabbed her husband in 4 day remand and is investigating further in the case.

Girls alleges her in-laws for hiding that her husband was HIV Positive. He husband went to Allahabad for job leaving his wife in the village of Patan with in-laws. Afterwards the in-laws started torturing her for dowry.
Later colleagues of her husband brought him back because of his ill health and only then she came to know about her husbands health. Following this when she herself went for a check up it came out that she has also contracted the disease. Her husband died and the girl has lodged a complaint against her in-laws as she was tortured by them.

Sangeeta was tortured by her husband and in-laws for dowry. Her parents has already given 7 lac rupees in dowry by they wanted one more lac rupees.
Sangeeta was married before 9 years when her parents gave 7 lac rupees. He husband used to beat her brutally and her mother-in-law was helping him in this cruelty.
Sangeeta has 3 daughters and 1 son and her husband is a taxi driver. Her husband used to come home drunk and torture her.
Nalasopara police has lodged a complaint against husband and his mother for provoking Sangeeta to commit suicide.

Within 10 days of marriage, the woman was forced to file a police complaint as she was tortured for dowry. The lady was married before 2 years to an NRI and was soon tortured for dowry by her in-laws. She was also thrown out of the home in midnight. Her husband, who was living in Johannesburg of South Africa, soon left her and went back there. Despite of various efforts her husband did not contact her back and finally she went to Johannesburg. There her husband demanded a Rs. 1 crore from the woman. This was when the woman lodged a police complaint against her husband and in-laws in Jabalpur. The woman was tortured both physically as well as mentally.
However, the accused are on the other hand blaming the woman for lying. Police has nabbed her in-laws and has started the procedure to nab the husband.

Wife of police official of Palanpur has filed a police complain againsth him. She accused that he demands money from her every now and then and used to abuse her both physically and verbally. The official is having 5 children from his first wife who died. He later married this woman with whom he took divorce at first and later sorted things out and were living together again. Both used to fight over children and money matters.
On the other hand the official says that she is doing all this things to take money from him.

A handicap woman was found dead in her house. Her dead body was found burned. Parents of the woman blames that her throat was strangled and later was set ablaze to destroy the evidence. After the incident the woman’s husband, mother-in-law and 4 month old daughter are missing.
Her parents also says that their daughter was also harassed for dowry many a times. Police is investigating in the case further.

Swati was found dead in a farm. She was killed and a condom packet was also found near her dead body. After this police started investigating in which the name of Govind Sindhi came into light who was absconding after her murder. Police started searching for Govind was was the main suspect in her murder and found her dead body. Govind committed suicide by hanging himself and also left a 6 page long suicide note. Police has sent his body for post mortem report.
On the other hand in Dhruti Suicide case, police has sent her in-laws in a 2 day remand. Dhruti’s dead body was found on 25th March in her own bungalow and what raised suspension in this case was that there were almost 13 injury marks on her body. Following this question raised as to either she was killed or she was tortured after which she committed suicide. Her parents has blamed her in-laws for her death. They have lodged a complain after which police has nabbed her in-laws and sent for a two-day remand. Many says that Dhruti’s husband had extra-marital affair.
This two incidents has shock the entire Navsari.

A woman was set ablaze by her in-laws for dowry. Reena, in her statement said that her in-laws used to harass her for dowry and than later set her on fire. She is admitted in L G Hospital. Her parents as well claims that in 20 days of her marriage her in-laws started harassing her. Since last 10 months she was suffering. Police has detained her husband, brother and her father-in-law is absconding. Police has filed attempt to murder case against the accused.
