Major fire broke in fire cracker market, gutted over 52 shops, Vadodra


Major fire broke in Fire Cracker market at Polo Ground in Vadodra today. More than 20 fire brigades reached the incident spot immediately, and brigade call was declared. No casualties have been reported yet. It is reported that more that 52 shops have been gutted by the fire so far. One care and 20 bikes also turned into ashes by raging fire.

School van carrying 12 students caught fire, all saved, Baroda


On Wednesday a school van carrying 12 school students caught fire. However no one was injured as all students were evacuated from the van in time. Fire brigade officials reached the spot immediately and took the fire control. Reason of fire is uncertain.

Son set parents on fire in order to possess their house, Boisar


It would be hard to believe that greed can lead a son to set his own parents on fire in order to acquire their property. Incident is of Boisar where a son attempted to kill his parents by setting them on fire. Sarita and Sadanand are retired school teachers. Their Son Paritosh wanted them to give away their house to him but when they refused to do so in fit of rage he set them on fire but fortunately they survived. While the couple fell asleep he locked them from outside and by releasing gas from cylinder he set the house on fire.

Battery blast sets house on fire, Gondal


An emergency battery made in China blasted while it was kept on charging in one house of Gokuldham society in Gondal. Such was the blast that it burnt Sofa, AC and the entire house within seconds. Fortunately the family members were saved and no one were injured in this incident. But the blast also melted the gold that was there in the house. When the fire brigade was informed about the incident not even a single fire fighter reached the spot. This has irked the residents.

Accident on the sets of Salman Khan’s Dabang 2, Mumbai


Three people were brutally injured during shooting of an action sequence of the film on Saturday. The injured technician and stuntman were rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
The explosion took place because of short circuit.
Arbaaz Khan, Salman Khan and their father Salim Khan, a veteran writer, visited the three injured technicians in the hospital and the shooting of the film was reportedly postponed over the mishap.
However, after visiting the injured in hospital, Salman Khan decided to go home on bike rather than his car in order to avoid Mumbai’s traffic jam.

Ajit Pawar asks why CM’s office not affected by the fire, Mumbai


Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar raises questions at the fire the broke in the Maharashtra Mantralaya. He said that his office was gutted in fire while the Chief Minister’s office on the same floor remained safe.
He said that it is a surprise that CM’s office was not even affected by the fire. The entire 4th, 5th and 6th floor was gutted in fire and other offices on the floors of CM’s office were also burnt but interestingly, CM’s officer was the only office that was unaffected by that fire.
BJP and Shiv Sena suspects the fire. It is also suspected that in this fire file of Adarsh scam alongwith other important files are burnt.

Major fire broke in Mahrashtra’s Mantralaya


Around 2:45 pm fire broke in in the Maharashtra government secretariat, including offices of the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister on Thursday.

The fire was first noticed on the fourth floor near the office of Tribal Welfare Minister Babanrao Pachpute, soon spreading over to the upper floors, aided by the sea breeze. The fourth floor also houses the urban development department.The fire spread to the fifth and sixth floors in the seven-storeyed ‘Mantralaya’. Extensive damage was also caused to the offices of CM and his deputy on the sixth floor. The fire was spreading as Air Conditioners were exploding due to fire.

Uncontrollable fire broke in Dehgam cold storage


Fire strikes at the Ambika Cold Storage of Dehgam. The fire was so massive that it became necessary to call fire fighters from Ahmedabad. More than 50 officials arrived at the spot with more than 14 fire vehicles. The cold storage had approximately 50 thousand sacks of spices such as turmeric, red chillies, etc. Looking at the seriousness of the accident local police, mamlatdar, and other officials reached the spot.
The officials faced many problems to control the fire and one main reason behind this trouble was lack of water. The spot where fire took place did not have any water source. The officials also had to demolish the wall as it was very high for the water force to reach. There was no fire safety measures in the cold storage as well.
