Police sought 4 day remand of Ashok Patel accuse of sex determination, Ahmedabad

On Saturday Metropolitan Court gave four day remand of Ashok Patel to police. Ashok Patel is an agent of Dr.Hemang Shah who was nabbed on Friday in a sting operation for revealing the sex of foetus.

Crime Branch Women’s cell Police Inspector Chetna Chaudhary on Saturday produced the accused Ashok Patel in court and demanded 14 days remand but only 4 day remand was provided. The accused Ashok Patel without medical degree ran Umiya Nursing home. He would call doctors in his nursing home for sex determination and abortion.

The key accused Dr. Hemang Shah is admitted to V S Hospital for high blood pressure under police escort.

Sting operation on Nursing Home conducting Sex Determination, Exclusive Part 3

A sting operation carried out by district health and police officials on Friday in Naroda which exposed Dr. Hemang Shah conducting sex determination violating Pre-Conception Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (PCPNDT) Act.

The operation was led by chief district health official Neelam Patel.Team of Tv9 was along with health officials in entire sting Operation. A lady medical official contacted Ashok Patel who is said to be agent who helps the sex determination test to be done. A three month pregnant lady volunteer the team for the sting.

In Umiya Nursing home the health officials and Tv9 reached at around 1 pm.
Dr. Hemang Shah reached nursing home with his portable sonography machine as per the appointment line up before. Fee for conducting was fixed 10,000 which was brought down to 9,000 after negotiation.

Dr. Hemang Shah was caught red handed conducting sex determination and abortion.When Ashok Patel and Dr. Hemang Shah saw the cameras chasing them they were taken aback and threw the money out of window. Interestingly Dr. Hemang Shah do not hold degree of Gynecologist.

Both Ashok Patel and Dr. Hemang Shah are booked under sections 20, 22, 23, 25 and 28 of PNDT Act and sections 201 and 204 of IPC.

MNS demands probe in irregularities in purchase of stationary for civic students

Corporators of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have urged the commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to probe the alleged irregularities in the purchase of stationery and other school items meant for civic school students.There is a huge difference between the rates at which these items are purchased in the market and those charged by the contractors appointed by the BMC.

MNS has urged probe in ongoing corruption by BMC contractors.

Wife of Builder Ajmera killed in her appartment for loot, Mumbai

Wife of leading city developer Jayant Ajmera was found murdered at their Ghatkopar flat on Monday night and the house was found ransacked, police said. The 51-year-old lady’s throat was slashed with a kitchen knife by the robbers.

Police said that the motive behind murder is loot as valuables worth crore is looted from apartment. Chetna was alone in the apartment when murder and robbery took place. Although the apartment is in one of the posh area of Mumbai it has only one guard.

Gujarat on High Alert after IB alert of possible terror attacks

The Intelligence Bureau has issued an alert of a possible terror strike in Gujarat. A specific input from the Intelligence Bureau indicated that six terrorists from the Lashkar-e-Taiba are likely to target Ahmedabad and Jamnagar.

Jamnagar major oil refineries are on possible target of Terrorist as per Central Intelligence Bureau.

Watch how a Dog Threatened a Leopard , Maharashtra

On Friday in a village of Maharashtra a dog and leopard fell in an open well for 12 long hours. Both fought with each other and at the end dog came victorious. It was unusual to see that dog was threatening dangerous animal like leopard.

In Bhenda village of Ahmednagar a leopard was chasing dog, and in this chase both fell in same well. The same dog that was running fearing leopard suddenly got transformed after felling in well. The dog started barking at Leopard as result leopard was sitting mute in a corner of well.

Forest department reached the incident spot and captured the leopard thus both lives were saved.

PASA Act on Gang that breaks car glass, Ahmadabad

In Ahmadabad the gang breaking glasses of cars has become active. Thus Police has decided to become strict against them. If somebody is caught for breaking glass he will be booked under PASA act.

The PASA, Prevention of Anti Social Activities Act gives powers to the police to detain and send a person to jail in order to restrain him from any criminal activities, violative of the rights to of a citizen enshrined in the Constitution.

Father Killed 16 year old daughter, Ahmadabad

A man killed his 16-year-old daughter after he came to know that she is having an affair. He also attacked her wife as she supported her. She has been admitted in VS Hospital.

Mahendra Dantani lives with his family at GirnarI Chali, Ahmadabad. He became furious when he came to know that his 16 year old daughter was out with her boyfriend for two days. He stabbed her daughter with sharp weapon and attacked wife too. He has been taken into police custody, investigation is underway.
