Cricketer Yusuf Pathan is all set to tie Knot today in Mumbai. According to reports Yusuf will wed Afreen Khan in Mumbau and on Friday grand wedding reception will be thrown in Vadodra.
Surat Night Half Marathon witnesses approx 40,000 participants

Around 40,000, including national and international athletes, took part in the first ever 21.0975 km Surat night half marathon organized in the diamond city on Saturday. The Surat Night Half Marathon was organized by Surat Marathon Company for a green and clean city and also to create awareness on traffic.
Actors Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea, cricketers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan, Mayor Raju Desai, police commissioner Rakesh Asthana, municipal commissioner Manoj Das and district collector JP Shivhare flagged off the race.
The race was divided into 4 categories. First was of 21 kilometers, second was 10 Km long run, third wa of 5 Km ad the fourth was Spirit of Surat in which only special invitees participated.
More than 10,000 female participants were there. 1200 volunteers served in the race and 50 CCTV cameras were installed, whereas 4 thousand police personnel were on duty.

Fisheries Scam: No relief to Purshottam Solanki from HC, Ahmedabad

On Thursday Gujarat High Court upheld the decision of the government to grant sanction to prosecute minister Purshottam Solanki challenging Governor Kamla Beniwal’s decision to sanction his prosecution in an alleged Rs 400-crore fishing contracts scam.
GPCC president Arjun Modhwadia sought the resignation of Chief Minister Narendra Modi following the decision of the state government to register complaints against minister of state for fisheries Purshottam Solanki and others involved in the Rs 400 crore scam.
Rejecting the plea, a bench of Justice Rajesh H Shukla said the power exercised by Beniwal was not alien to her as claimed by the minister.
In 2009, one Ishaq Maradia had alleged that Solanki granted the contracts for fishing in reservoirs across the state without due tendering process and thereby resorted to corruption of Rs 400 crore. He had sought the sanction for Solanki’s prosecution. The state cabinet under Modi had twice rejected the application seeking prosecution of the minister.
