At Palanpur railway station around 18,000 wheat bags were found drenched in rain water. The visuals of grains which was supposed to be distributed to poor but getting decayed is evidence of FCI negligence. Under Public Distribution System 172000 wheat bags was transported from Madhya Pradesh which were kept at Palanpur railway station of which estimated 18000 wheat bags are completely drenched in water.
The bags were at first covered with plastics but the covering were not enough to save wheat bags. Also, animals were found eating the wheat grains.
However the FCI manger is denying the fact of large quantity of wheat is getting drenched. Recently similar incident took place in Vadodara.
