Once again wheat bags drenched due to irresponsibility, Banaskantha


At Palanpur railway station around 18,000 wheat bags were found drenched in rain water. The visuals of grains which was supposed to be distributed to poor but getting decayed is evidence of FCI negligence. Under Public Distribution System 172000 wheat bags was transported from Madhya Pradesh which were kept at Palanpur railway station of which estimated 18000 wheat bags are completely drenched in water.
The bags were at first covered with plastics but the covering were not enough to save wheat bags. Also, animals were found eating the wheat grains.

However the FCI manger is denying the fact of large quantity of wheat is getting drenched. Recently similar incident took place in Vadodara.

9 dead as two MI-17 helicopters of IAF collided in mid-air, Jamnagar


Two Indian Air Force (IAF) choppers collided near Sarmat village in Jamnagar district today. The choppers crashed into each other during a training session. Nine IAF personnel are dead while 1 is injured in the collision.
According to the details, choppers collided are MI 17 of Indian Air Force and crashed outside the civilian area.

Three-storey building collapsed, girl dies, six other rescued, Ahmedabad


Today a three-storey house collapsed in the Piprawali pole of Sarangpur, Ahmedabad. Tuition classes were running in the house that collapsed. Total 7 were rescued in which there were 5 kids and 2 adults. One girl died in LG Hospital.

One more case of irresponsibility results in rotten grains, Bhavnagar


Few days ago a report came of huge amount of wheat decayed in rain due to the irresponsibility in Vadodara. Now a similar incident has occurred in Bhavnagar as well. In a Government owned go-down pesticides has spoiled bulk rice and other grains. Not only this the pests has increased to such an extent that they are reaching to houses of people in the area which is spoiling there grains as well. The pests are seen everywhere in the houses of residents there hence making it difficult for them to survive.
The grains are decaying rather then feeding the poor and needy.
It was after the complaints of residents that Bhavnagar MLA visited the spot, who said that it was because of the pest control drug that was sprinkled on the grains to fight the pests. The MLA also said that if such heavy drug contained grains will be consumed by the people than it will harm their health drastically.

Two held with 18kg Marijuana, Surat


Varachha police nabbed two who were smuggling marijuana in Surat. There main work was to supply marijuana coming from Orissa to the dealer in Surat. Both the accused were nabbed from railway station with 18 kg and 250gm marijuana.
However, these two are just the mediators the main mastermind behind these increasing cases of drugs smuggling is still out of the reach of police.
This is not the first case where marijuana was nabbed, there has been an entire racket that is running freely in Surat.

Minor maid servant beaten up brutally by employer, Mumbai


A minor girl was torture both physically as well as mentally by her employer where he was working as a maid servant. The woman, Tanaaz Irani and her family beaten the minor girl who was staying in her house for household chores. The girl was attacked with knives, hot water was thrown at her as well as scratch marks were seen on her face. The entire incident came into light after one long year. By this time the girl was undergoing this torture constantly.
Mother other the minor has lodged a police complaint and seeks justice for her girl.

Investigators suspects IM Operative to be one of the Pune bombers


Investigation agencies suspect that Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Yasin Bhatkal, the man most wanted for a string of terror attacks across the country, planted one of the bombs on Jangli Maharaj road on August 1, around four hours before four low-intensity blasts rocked Pune.
According to the investigators, while inspecting CCTV foot-age collected from various establishments on J M road, a picture has strong resemblance to Yasin and was seen coming on a bicycle and parking it opposite the Sai Service petrol pump. The bomb was later defused by bomb squad.
Sources says that he was present in Pune on August 1 and was seen on J M road.

Students deprived of eduation as only school turned into police station, Ahmedabad


In 1925 during British period a school was made to provide education to kids in Kubernagar of Ahmedabad.
During the 2001 earthquake this school was damaged to a large extent. Hence the working of the school was stopped for repairing the building. But with time the school was not repaired and gradually it was converted into Kubernagar police chowky. Also a surveillance squad office has also been developed.
As a result of this, the members of Chhara Community are complaining that as this was the sole medium of education for their kids, they are deprived of education and this is forcing them to get involved in criminal activities. People appeal to reopen a school once again.
On the other hand police officials defend themselves by saying that the chowky in the area is a necessary because anti-criminal activities are in large number here.
