Health Department raided Maternity Home of Dr./ Rakshit Patel as he shown false record since last 8 months. Also the doctor did not submitted sex determination forms to the health department following which they seized two sonography machines from the clinic.
Collector has cancelled clinic’s registration for 90 days.

After the death of a resident doctor in VS Hospital after contracting CCHF virus from a patient, Health Department has become alert. The department has started a health check up drive in Kochariya village of Bawla Taluka as this are is prone to contract this virus easily. Health Minister, Jaynarayan Vyas, appeals people to maintain hygiene and beware of the animals as this disease is contracted from animals and there is no vaccine for this virus.
The health check up will be held in 9 villages for 14 days. Animals are also checked for the insect that is found in animals because of which this disease is spread.
Teams are also formed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the villages. According to villagers the cleanliness drive is done in 15 years. As of now Health Department, Cattle Department and Cleaning Department are on a cleanliness and checking drive in the village.

On the second of its checking, Corporation Health Department sealed two mineral water plants. The team has sealed Vatsalya Beverages and Shreenathji Bottling. Both the mineral water companies were running without ISI mark.
These mineral water pouches and bottles are not healthy for people’s health.
Prior to this as well the team sealed two plants of mineral water. Shockingly, most of the owners were not aware of the necessity of ISI marks.

Around 42 people suffered from food poisoning as they ate sweet at a marriage function in Madhupura area of Ahmedabad. After having the sweet people complained of vomiting and diarrhea. They were later shifted to hospital for further treatment. After this Health Department was informed by the hospital authority. The Health Department investigated shop from which the sweets were brought and found out 41 kg of inedible products. Hence, they sealed the shop.

A team of Health Department in Rajkot raided go-downs of mango and seized 3000 kg mangoes the were ripened by carbide. The department sealed two go-downs following this.
In Vadodara as well the Health Department of Mahanagar Palika raided fruit market and checked go-downs of 5 traders. From one trader the department seized 630 kg mangoes.
These traders use carbide in order to ripe the mangoes quickly but the carbide is a high risk for people’s health. Hence it is important for people to become aware about this to have a healthy life.

On Saturday Metropolitan Court gave four day remand of Ashok Patel to police. Ashok Patel is an agent of Dr.Hemang Shah who was nabbed on Friday in a sting operation for revealing the sex of foetus.
Crime Branch Women’s cell Police Inspector Chetna Chaudhary on Saturday produced the accused Ashok Patel in court and demanded 14 days remand but only 4 day remand was provided. The accused Ashok Patel without medical degree ran Umiya Nursing home. He would call doctors in his nursing home for sex determination and abortion.
The key accused Dr. Hemang Shah is admitted to V S Hospital for high blood pressure under police escort.

Municipal Health Department of AMC seized many inedible mangoes. They seized 35 boxes each containing 10 kg mangoes in each box. Each of these boxes contained carbide powder. Approximately 350 kg of mangoes and 6 shops that tanned mangoes with the help of 1kg carbide powder.

An incident of cockroach in cold drink came into light at Wadaj Area of Ahmedabad. The incident occurred when a man bought cold drink bottles for his guests. What is more shocking is that nobody took notice of the cockroach in the bottle till it arrived at the retail shop. The buyer has decided to complain to the Health Department and the shop owner has decided to draw attention of his wholesaler and officials of the company.

Health Department of Corporation is taking strict actions against those who are selling unhealthy food products this summer. The health department raided in areas such as Meghaninagar and Saijpur and seized 100 bottles of cheap quality cold drinks, 300 packages of pepsi cola and bulk of ice cream and candies. These cold drinks were without registered trade mark and did not had a manufacturing or expiry date on it.
