On year ago Bhavnagar Police and forest department nabbed four as hey tried to elope with skeleton of a lioness after killing it. But from the skeleton of the lioness nail was missing. Even after one year police has not found success in tracing missing nails.

Local Crime Branch raided a mini weapons making factory and nabbed one who used to make country made pistols. LCB has nabbed 3 pistols from his home where he used to make the pistols.
Interestingly, this illegal work was going on since last two years yet not complain was filed against it.

Environment law is openly breached in Bhavnagar which is exposed by Tv9. Tv9 exposed the traders burning cable wires polluting environment.
In Khumbarwada region despite notice has been issued by the corporation burning of cable wire continues. Combution of cable wires lead to emission of poisonous gases like carbon di oxide and monoxide by which residents contracts diseases like allergic asthma. Children are more vulnerable to this.

Gandhinagar Narcotics cell seizure 1 kg Marijuana from a Paan shop. The owner of Paan shop is arrested by police. In the camouflage of Paan center marijuana was sold by the shop owner at the rate of Rs 50/gram. He was doing this business from last four years.
Interestingly the Pan Shop is only at 50 feet distance from Nadiad Police station, thus it has raised eyebrows on them that how come they did not know about this.

Ramol Police and striking force of DCP zone 5, seized 485 gram brown sugar and 472 suspicious white powder. Primary investigation revealed that the two accused were about to deliver this to somebody. The brown sugar is worth 24 lac rupees and the white powder is sent for FSL investigation. The accused are from UP and it is assumed that the brown sugar and powder may have brought from there itself.

Police nabbed a student who used to buy new sim cards on fake documents. He used the documents given by customers for sim card. With this he bought more than 2,000 cards. The nabbed sim cards were not activated. Police is interrogating further in the case and is also suspecting telecom companies.

After the hooch tragedy in Panej village of Sankheda in Vadodara, Police as started their raid at the places where hooch is prepared. The police have detained 9 bootleggers and in the process as lodged a murder case against bootlegger, Rama Mansukh, and his wife, Kokila.
DGP has said that strict action will be taken against police officials if they are found guilty. The hooch tragedy occurred on 13th March in which 3 people died, including a woman. 24 more people fell prey to country liquor among whom 2 are women. Five people are serious.
On the other hand parties are accusing each other in the Assembly following the hooch tragedy.

Police raided a factory that was printing fake currency notes with color printer, water marks, stamp and fake notes alongwith 27,350 rupees. One accused is nabbed in this who used to print fake notes from his home. He used to print fake notes and ask kids to buy goods worth 20 rupees by giving 100 rupee note and thus earn 80 real rupees. But he printed all notes of one serial number following which police nabbed him. Younger brother of the accused is also involved in this who is absconding. The entire case is handed to Crime Branch. Investigation is going on as to find out others linked in this illegal activity.
