On Monday heavy rain lashed in many parts of Gujarat.Heavy rains lashed Ahmedabad disrupting vehicular movement at many places.

While addressing a youth convention and Sorath Sakhimandal sammelan at Junagadh Gujarat’s chief minister Narendra Modi attacked Gujarat Governor over Independence Day food bill.
Citing media reports saying state government served a Rs 800-per-dish lunch for the Independence Day function, Modi said he checked with his officials only to discover that food cost Rs 132 per plate, that too for babus on official duty for the function.
But the governor had ordered a Rs 250 per person menu for the high tea organised at her official residence on the day.

A married woman had to pay heavy amount of falling in love with another man. After 9 years of married life the Kalavati fell in love with Vinod. Later both decided to elope and start a new life. For this Kalavati took ornaments worth Rs. 3.5 lakh and 35000 cash with her. However, the couple came to Junagadh from Rajkot and later Vinod out of greed of money killed Kalavati by strangulating her.
However, the mystery of this murder was resolved by the mobile phone and memory card that was trace from the spot. This helped police nabbed the absconding accused.

2 sandalwood trees were stolen from the compound of Circuit House. One tree was worth 50 thousand rupees. The security guard was on duty when the theft took place. Four thieves took away two trees. According to Forest Department it is illegal to steal sandalwood trees. Questions has arose on the security of Forest Department towards these costly trees.

Land Record office of Porbandar is working without officers since a long time. Whenever the applicants used to come they only get one answer that the officer comes only once in a week and they have to repeatedly visit the office several times. When contacted the present employee in the office he said that there is no officer since a long time and after the former officer was retired a Junagadh officer was given the charge and he come only once in a week.
Higher officials know that there is a lack of officers in this office and ensures that within short time the posts will be filled soon.

A unique mango festival was held at Surajgadh of Sasan in order to spread awareness among people. More than 80 varieties of mangoes were there in this festival. 108 farmers from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and various other states of India participated in this festival and presented unique variety of mango of their state.
National and international mango experts were also present in this festival and expressed concern about the extension of varieties of mangoes.
People were amused at the very sight of different kind of mangoes and many mango farm owners were also present in this festival who took tips from the present farmers. The festival will continue for 3 days and has became center of attraction for everyone.

Revenge and jealousy is suspected to be behind the parcel bomb attack that injured a woman in Ambavad village. Police when interrogated the suspect Kirit they found out explosives from his home and has seized his mobile phone as well.
Kirit is a software engineer and he was about to get engaged to a girl but because of an accident his legs are paralyzed. This called off the marriage and the girl Chetna, later married to Bhavesh. This was the reason behind Kirit’s jealousy and he wanted to take revenge which let me took this extreme step.
Interrogation further revealed that it was Kirit only who used to make threat calls to the victim’s house.
