Terror of Dengue increased in Bhuj, 3 died so far


In last one month 3 people have died due to dengue in Kutch. More than 30 cases are registered positive for dengue. The number of patients is yet increasing in Kutch. Health Department is taking necessary measures to control the disease. This is the outcome of dinginess and sewage in areas that increases mosquitoes.
Residents are angry towards the authorities as they do not clean the dinginess in areas and also do not take steps to save them from mosquito bites.
However, though late but the authority has started working towards controlling measures.

Vipul Chaudhary is the new chairman of GCMMF, Anand


Vipul Chaudhary was unanimously elected chairman of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation on Saturday. Interestingly, Banas Dairy chairman and former chairman of GCMMF, Parthi Bhatol proposed Chaudhary’s name which was seconded by Amul Dairy chairman Ramsinh Parmar.
Vipul Chaudhary thanked everyone for selecting him as the new chairman and announced that GCMMF will provide cattle feed at discounted rates to cattle owners in the scarcity-hit Saurashtra and Kutch region.

5 Heritage Buildings likely to be sabotaged in Bhuj


Old Court, Fateh Mohammad Room, Old Mamlatdar Office, Jubilee Hospital, and Old KDCC Bank, these 5 historical buildings have dilapidated. As a result of this authority has decided to demolish these buildings before any misfortune accident occurs.

However, resident leader have opposed this decision and have blamed that this poor condition of historical building is because of the irresponsibility of government. Bhuj citizens have submitted a memorandum letter to the collector asking for giving a second thought before demolishing this buildings. They also said that because of this the number of tourists will also decrease.
On the other hand the collector said that he will have a word with the Executive engineer and then decision will be made.

Thieves who stole various ATM machines nabbed, Surendranagar


Two nabbed who alongwith their other partners looted numerous ATM machines in Surendranagar. The Local Crime Branch police found weapons of breaking ATM machines from two cars while checking and hence interrogated the two car owners. During the interrogation the accused accepted that they recently stole an ATM machine from Sanand, two from Vadodara and one from Bharuch.
Further the accused also gave four names of their partners in crime. Police has also nabbed two sons of the Sarpanch of Hajipura who were involved in their crime.
The thieves are also suspected in stealing a machine from Kutch and killing a security guard in Ankleshwar.
Police has started procedure of nabbing the other members of their gang.

Heat Waves strike Kutch, temperature crosses 40 degree in Gujarat


The temperature in Gujarat State has crossed the limit of 40 degree Celsius. The hot sun-rays alongwith wind has increase the temperature. The weather department announced heat waves in Naliya and Kandla of Kutch. The officials says that this is because of Western Disturbance and the heat that comes from Rajasthan. On Tuesday the temperature was highest. The weather department has said that the temperature will still be high for some more days,

Local Crime Branch raided a mini weapons making factory and nabbed one who used to make country made pistols. LCB has nabbed 3 pistols from his home where he used to make the pistols.
Interestingly, this illegal work was going on since last two years yet not complain was filed against it.

Now Camel Milk will also be availbale easily, Kutch Part 2


Gujarat will soon get a Dairy for Camel’s milk in Kutch District. A local Union of camel breeders Kutch Unt Uchher Maldhari Sangathan (KUUMS) and a Kutch based NGO Sahjeevan have had made this proposal to government regarding which provision is made in Budget 2012-13 by Government.

Camel milk has nutritional and clinical significance as well. In Anand University research is being conducted on milk of camel. Recently experiment was made on rat which concluded that the milk helps reducing the glucose level as it contains a protein called insulin which encounters diabetes.

Gujarat will soon get a Dairy for Camel’s milk in Kutch District. A local Union of camel breeders Kutch Unt Uchher Maldhari Sangathan (KUUMS) and a Kutch based NGO Sahjeevan have had made this proposal to government regarding which provision is made in Budget 2012-13 by Government.

There was a time when Kutch had 35,000 camels but with the passing time it decrease to only 8,000. Maldharis used to earn by selling male camels but with the increasing transportation means their income also decrease. Hence this would be alternative income source for Maldharis.

Ramesh Bhatti coordinator of NGO Sahjeevan says that a dairy center will encourage Maldharis to breed camels.

150 Cows dies due to lack of Water, Kutch


Nearly 150 cows died of starvation after they were abandoned by temple authorities at Gangata Bet (island) in Rapar taluka of Kutch. Authorities at Ravechi Temple, which looks after these cattle, dismissed the charges and said some 30 cows have died due to illness.

Villagers says that after every monsoon these cows are sent here and blames that irresponsibility of the trust led to their death.

This tag fulfill geographical identity which will ensure the location of the shawls.
