NDA Divided over Presidential candidate

The presidential Election polls which is contested this year is the most talked and discussed polls so far. On Sunday NDA meet was held to decided on it presidential candidate which turned to be conclusiveness. Shiv Sena skipped NDA meet. According to sources JD(U) is in no mood to keep any candidate against Pranab Mukherjee. Whereas BJP is making efforts to back PA sangama who already seeks support from Jaylaltia and Ravi Patanayak and can ask Mamta Banerjee to give him support as her nominee APJ Abdulo Kalam, is out of race of Prez poll.

Gujarat BJP two day executive meet resumes from today, Rajkot

BJP party’s two-day state executive meeting will start in Rajkot today to plan its strategy for the assembly elections scheduled later this year.Around 320 BJP leaders and workers will participate in the meeting held at Atmiya Institute of Technology and Sciences on Kalavad Road.

Keshubhai Patel may or may not attend the State Executive Meet of BJP, Rajkot

The State Executive meet will be held in Rajkot on 9 and 10 June. The meeting will be led by state BJP president RC Faldu and it will be attended by Chief Minister Narendra Modi and national joint organizational general secretary Shri V Satish.
On the other hand former CM, Keshubhai Patel has given the invite to attend this meet. However, it is unlikely that Keshubhai will attend this meet following the latest controversies.

Last week Anna Hazare met with Raj Thakrey and Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan over strong Lokayukta in Maharashtra. But Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thakrey snubbed and refused to meet the anti Corruption crusader. He said that he will not meet him until Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia is in his team.

Earlier also Bal Thakrey has raised eyebrows by giving such controversial statements. Thackeray also targeted Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan over his personal life and getting the Padma Shri award.

PM calls meeting to discuss Ban on Cotton Export

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called a meeting on Monday to take a call on Sugar and cotton export.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Sharad Pawar and Commerce and Textiles Minister Anand Sharma will be present in the meet.

The Textiles Ministry has been insisting on adequate availability of cotton for the domestic industry, Pawar and Modi want natural fibre shipments under the Open General Licence (OGL) to ensure adequate prices for growers.

Earlier Gujarat CM Narendra Modi has commented that the Central Government policy’s are anti farmer.

Important meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Paritinidhi Sabha of RSS is organized at Nagpur. Its a three day meet and 1400 volunteers have come to attend this meet. RSS will discuss a host of key issues and many senior leaders of VHP will be present in this sabha. It is likely that VHP might discuss various issues related to BJP.
