One more Milk adulteration has been caught by Mumbai Police. Police has arrested couple which were used to do impurity in milk and they had used branded company’s pouches to sell impure milk.Mumbai Police had got information that near Mumbai Domestic Airport, Vileparle,couple doing impurity in milk and selling it with using branded Milk company’s pouches. police has arrested couple and sent milk sample to FDA . According to Police if Milk Companies will do proper checking of Milk Pouches then Milk Impurity business can be stop.

Unicorn Nandi drinking milk claims Pujari, Mumbai

On Sunday Pujari of a shiv temple claimed that unicorn Nandi is lapping milk in Mumbai. Scores of devotees and onlookers thronged at the temple after news spread like fire. Devotees were standing in queue with milk packets in their hand waiting for their chance to offer milk to idol of Nandi.

According to Pujari, Ramswaroop Swami a devotee asked him to offer milk to lord shiva, he kept the milk glass near to unicorn; to his utter disbelief he saw that the unicorn was consuming milk.

When Tv9 reached the spot it was revealed that the milk was not consumed any way but was flowing down instead.

Politics on providing flavored milk in BMC Schools, Mumbai

Once again politics arises on the scheme for providing flavored milk to kids in BMC schools. Prior to this as well kids were fallen sick by consuming the flavored milk and now once again the scheme and its implication which needs 121 crore rupees are in news. Educational Committee believes that instead of flavored milk the kids must be given sum other healthy nutritious food.

Cow Milk can be poisonous, Nagpur

Before consume milk be careful as it may contain oxytocin. Milk consumed for good health can cause various disorders. It is found that in Nagpur cows are given oxytocin injection by which they give double amount of milk.

Consuming milk of such cow can lead to Hypertension, drop of blood pressure, Hypernatremia and cardiac arrest. For pregnant women condition become more worse as it can lead to abortion or premature birth of child.

Oxytocin injection are normally given to expecting mothers but when given to cow in more number it leads to hazardous result.

Hike in price of Milk and Butter milk, Baroda

Baroda Dairy board has declared increase in price of milk, butter milk which will be effective from Tuesday May 1. Increase in rupees 2 per litre of Milk and Butter milk is decided. According to members of board hike in prices was necessary as the income from milk is dipping.

Now, while Amul Gold will cost Rs 38 per litre, Amul Shakti will cost Rs 35 per litre, Amul Cow milk will cost Rs 32 per litre, whereas Amul Slim & Trim will cost Rs 27 per litre to consumers. Price of Amul Cow milk (200 ml) pouch have been increased from Rs 6.5 to Rs 7.

whereas price of Amul Slim & Trim milk has increased by Re 1 per litre.

Amul to hike Milk Prices by 5-7%, Ahmedabad

Gujarat Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) will hike milk prices by 5-7% in 2012-13. MD of GCMMF, RS Sodhi said that the :with inflation we need to compensate the farmers”.
In last five years Amul has increased the milk prices 14 times from 2006-2011

Now Camel Milk will also be availbale easily, Kutch Part 2

Gujarat will soon get a Dairy for Camel’s milk in Kutch District. A local Union of camel breeders Kutch Unt Uchher Maldhari Sangathan (KUUMS) and a Kutch based NGO Sahjeevan have had made this proposal to government regarding which provision is made in Budget 2012-13 by Government.

Camel milk has nutritional and clinical significance as well. In Anand University research is being conducted on milk of camel. Recently experiment was made on rat which concluded that the milk helps reducing the glucose level as it contains a protein called insulin which encounters diabetes.

Gujarat will soon get a Dairy for Camel’s milk in Kutch District. A local Union of camel breeders Kutch Unt Uchher Maldhari Sangathan (KUUMS) and a Kutch based NGO Sahjeevan have had made this proposal to government regarding which provision is made in Budget 2012-13 by Government.

There was a time when Kutch had 35,000 camels but with the passing time it decrease to only 8,000. Maldharis used to earn by selling male camels but with the increasing transportation means their income also decrease. Hence this would be alternative income source for Maldharis.

Ramesh Bhatti coordinator of NGO Sahjeevan says that a dairy center will encourage Maldharis to breed camels.
