Step mother beats kid brutally, Mumbai

The man named Rafiq married Rehana after is first wife died. He had 3 kids from his first wife among which one is living with the aunt. The other two kids lives with their father and step mother. Rehana however behaved very badly with the two kids. She used to beat them up every now and then. But recently she bashed up one of the kid so much that he got injured and neighbours took him to hospital. The kid sustained various injuries and some are serious injuries on his private parts.
In her defence, Rehana filed a complaint at police station stating that the kid was not obeying her hence she taught him a lesson. When uncle of the kid came to know about the incident he lodged a complaint against Rehana. Police has filed a complaint against her and is probing further in the case.

Section of Metro bridge collapses in Andheri, Mumbai

On Tuesday, a 50-metre section of the Andheri-Ghatkopar bridge. 15 people, including the labors got trapped under the debris. Fire officials and police rescued the trapped and admitted them in hospitals for treatment.
This is not the first accident on this project. In April this year, part of a 400-tonne crane fell off the truck it was being carried in and crashed into the Sarvodaya Hospital in Ghatkopar. In July, a construction worker fell to his death while building the Andheri segment of the line.

One held for stealing in Amitabh Bachchan’s home, Mumbai

On Saturday, a youth barged into Amitabh Bachchan’s home ‘Jalsa’ during midnight. The 20 year old youth entered into mysteriously and climbed the gulmohar tree of the bungalow reaching at the balcony of Big B’s bedroom. The thief stole 8000 rupees cash from the drawer of the room.
He was nabbed by the security officials and was handed over to the police. Juhu police presented the thief in court and get remand of 14 days. Interrogation is going on in the case.
Basically from Madhya Pradesh, the youth arrived in Mumbai before one and a half month and was living at railway platform besides searching for a job.
Big B also tweeted on his twitter about the incident.

Rats nibbled up dead body in hospital, Mumbai

While dead body of a woman awaited postmortem, rats nibbled her body that was in the hospital. The postmortem was important to know the truth behind death of the lady but before it was carried out, rats ate up ears, nose and other parts of the body. The incident occurred at the Civil Hospital of Thane. The broken windows and doors enables these rats to enter the hospital and sometimes dogs too enters the hospital.
When contacted the Civil Surgeon he accepted the incident and said that this happened because of the negligence of ward boy who kept the dead body in passage instead of cold storage which has air conditioner in it.

Increase in number of milk tempering in Mumbai city

The adulteration of milk is found in name of branded milk as well. Because of the lives of people is at stake. A man, Nitesh Jadav, suspecting tempering of milk gave samples for checking and this exposed the entire scam of milk adulteration.
His child used to complain pain every time. Hence, suspecting the milk he started observing the milk packets that her took from a man named Shankar, who supplied milk to this residential area since many year. On observing Nitesh found tempering in the milk packet and he complained to the milk company. They after having a look at the packets confirmed that they were tempered. FDA has also taken the samples of milk. Nitesh has lodged a police complaint against Shankar but he is still not nabbed. This has also raised eyes on the working of police.

Jewelers fearing loot demand police security, Mumbai

After increased in number of loot, the jewelers of Mumbai city are living in fear. After the loot of 60 Lac in a jewelers shop of Ghatkopar once again the security of the jewelers is at stake. Jewelers are agitated with this as no one knows when robbers will attack them and their shops with weapons. They are also angry at the slow work of police as in the murder case of jewelers that occurred in Malad police has not done anything except publishing the sketches of the accused. The police has not arrested any accused in this case as well, says the family members of the victims. The jewelers are living in fear and has demanded security from the police. They have also threatened that if the police will not tighten the security of the jewelers than they will protest on roads.

5 year old kid suffers from obesity, Mumbai

Mayur, 5, has come to Mumbai to get treated for his obesity. He weight is 43 kg which is much more than the other kids of his age. He is not able to sit properly nor is he able to play like kids of his age. His parents when learnt that Mayur can be cured of his obesity, they came down to Mumbai from Jalgaon.
Doctors said that this is a genetic and hormonal problem and they also blamed the food habits of the city.
