A daughter cremated her dead father in her own house in Valsad. She tried and cremate the body in house as it was instructed by some guru. The daughter is mentally retarded and this is not the first time this incident occurred in their house.
On 3rd February 2012 when her mother died, the daughter alongwith her father cremated her in their house itself. This was also the outcome of their superstitious belief that this will make the dead reborn. This is what their guru, haling from Ahmedabad, told them.
On the first occasion when the mother was cremated the father-daughter duo tried to hide the incident by saying that they cremated a dead cat. But on further investigation and with the help of FSL the truth came out that as per the instructions of their guru they cremated the dead body in the house.

Insurance cover worth crores of rupees has been done for Ganpati on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The richest Ganpati mandal in Mumbai, the GSB Seva Mandal located at Kings Circle, has sought insurance cover of Rs 224 crore for a 15-day period this season. The premium amount for such deals runs into several lakhs, an extremely profitable deal for any company given the short duration of cover. According to the mandal due to inflation this was necessary as a precautionary step.
The one that receives the largest number of devotees, the Lalbaugcha Raja, has trebled its cover from Rs 14 crore to Rs 35 crore.

Irresponsibility can take somebody’s life. Something like that happened in an engagement ceremony that was going on in Dhaulpur district of Rajasthan. A man in drunken state fired and injured 4 among which one died on the spot. The injured are shifted to hospital for treatment.
In the engagement girl and her relatives came from Madhya Pradesh for the ceremony and many of them were drunk and were firing in order to celebrate the ceremony. Police has detained more than 6 people in this case.
However, this is not the first case in which such accident of firing happened in marriages or functions.

After the murder of two jewelers in Mumbai, the jewelers of Mumbai protested out of anger and also brought the dead bodies of the duo on roads demanding justice. The jewelers gave an ultimatum of 10 days to the police to nab both the accused who looted and murdered the jeweler and his manager. They also threatened that if the police will not nab the accused as soon as possible, then they can do extreme protest as well. Looking at the severity of the protest, Mumbai Police Commissioner and higher officers reached the spot and consoled the jewelers stating that the case will be handed over to the Crime Branch for investigating the entire case.

A 300C helicopter of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Rotary Wing Academy’s Schweizer had to land on the terrace of five-storey Maitri apartment due to technical problems. But both the pilot and the trainee are safe. No loss occurred during this emergency landing but the wings of the chopper were broken.
