Due to continuous downfall flood like situation has risen in Surat. People are compelled to use boat to commute from one place to another as water has logged up to 5 feet height in low lying areas. The same situation was back in 2006 therefore Surits are worried.

Rupa Makwana manger of a private coaching classes in Rajkot has filed complaint against NSUI workers for blackmailing and demanding Rupees 5 lakhs from her. She has produced a video recording which contain conversation between NSUI workers. On Basis of this Rajkot police has arrested three NSUI workers. The three NSUI workers are identified as Suraj De, Hemang Patel, Tushar. Police is in search of other two members.
However the arrested NSUI workers are claiming that they are innocent and have fallen victim of political conspiracy as they work for problems of student. They are confident that they will come out clean from the matter.

On Monday a youth died due to electrocution outside ATM of Union Bank. Incident is of Nalaspaora region, electric wire of sign board of Union Bank RBI was loosely hanging. It is learned that when youth approached near ATM to escape from rain he died due to electric shock.

Despite Chief Minister of 12 states are demanding roll back of NCTC Union Home Ministry is adamant on setting up of National Counter Terrorism Center.
On Saturday morning for the meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the proposed National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). The leaders were headed to Vigyan Bhawan for the meeting.
The NCTC will have three divisions responsible for collection and dissemination of information, analysis and operations and will be placed within the Intelligence Bureau.
Chidambram is advocating constitution of NCTC as it will be a combine force to fight terrorism.
