Patients’ woes as power failed in L G Hospital, Ahmedabad


Since Friday night there was a power failure in LG Hospital, Ahmedabad. This has only added to the woes of the patients who were forced to leave there beds and go out of the hospital.
The power did not resume for more than 24 hours.
The patients, their family members as well as as the hospital staff were troubled by the situation. The most poor condition was seen at ward no. 1 and 2 which are the children’s ward. The darkness, heat as well as mosquitoes were what that harassed patients the most.

Harassed by Money Lenders, Man commits suicide, Jamnagar


Vasantbhai Parmar of Jamnagar took money from 3 people to marry his daughter. But soon after the marriage the usurers started torturing him for getting back their money with interest. At last he was tortured to such an extent that Vasantbhai committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of his house.
He has left a suicide note in which he clearly stated that it was the torture of usurers that forced him to take this extreme step.
His son has lodged a complaint against all the three accused and police investigation is going on in in this matter.

Rates of Mangoes are sky high, Mumbai


With the starting of April, Mumbai markets are flooded with mangoes. But common people are not able to afford them as the rates of mangoes are sky high. The cost of Alphonso mangoes is Rs. 1500 per dozen whereas other mangoes cost 500-700 per dozen. Mango traders says that the rates are so high that people are not able to afford them.
