Carrying further its reservations over Narendra Modi, the Janata Dal (United) has decided to contest assembly elections in Gujarat on its own. JDU runs a coalition with BJP in Bihar but this is not the case in Gujarat.
Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar has not given a clear answer as to whether he will campaign in Gujarat or not. Where on the other hand Sharad Yadav has said that, “BJP is the larger party in the NDA. We will go for alliance with BJP wherever it wants us, but barring in Gujarat”.
Sharad Yadav said he will be campaigning in Gujarat but Nitish Kumar has not yet given a clear answer to that.
