JDU to contest Assembly Elections in Gujarat on its own


Carrying further its reservations over Narendra Modi, the Janata Dal (United) has decided to contest assembly elections in Gujarat on its own. JDU runs a coalition with BJP in Bihar but this is not the case in Gujarat.
Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar has not given a clear answer as to whether he will campaign in Gujarat or not. Where on the other hand Sharad Yadav has said that, “BJP is the larger party in the NDA. We will go for alliance with BJP wherever it wants us, but barring in Gujarat”.
Sharad Yadav said he will be campaigning in Gujarat but Nitish Kumar has not yet given a clear answer to that.

JDU leader and Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar snumbs Narendra Modi as PM candidate without taking his name. Nitish Kumar said that NDA’s nominee for the top post should be somebody with “secular credentials”.

Nitish Kumar also said that the NDA should have a leader who can feel for the underdeveloped states like Bihar.This leader should be acceptable to every constituent of the alliance.

NItish Kumar reacts to Modi’s Criticism on Bihar


During the two-day executive meet of BJP in Rajkot, Chief Minister, Narendra Modi’s speech triggered political controversy. Narendra Modi said that it is the festering caste politics in Bihar behind the backwardness of the state.
This dd not go well with Janta Dal Party and Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar said that Modi should first look at himself and what he did in Gujarat.

On the other hand, Sharad Yadav as well said that the Gujarat State has not developed because of any single person and the state has its history of development.
On Modi’s criticism of UP, CM Akhilesh Yadav also clarified that they do not encourage caste politics.

Lalu attacks Nitish and Modi handshake


RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav attacked Bihar CM Narendra Modi and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi on shaking hand on Saturday at the meeting of NCTC. He said that both the CMs are fooling people of their distance and rifts, they actually talked for an hour in NCTC meeting. On this Health minister of Bihar said that RJD chief is not able to take this. Whereas Congress has said that it is their personal thing to shake hands or not, no political controversy is seen in it.

Raj Thackeray have no objection in celebration of Bihar Day, Mumbai


The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) called off its proposed agitation against the April 15 Bihar Day celebrations in Mumbai, scheduled to be addressed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
This changes in Raj Thackeray’s attitude came after he had a word with Nitish Kumar on phone. MNS chief Raj Thackeray said these were cultural celebrations and he had nothing against such a program.

Controversies arises follwoing celebration of Bihar Divas on 15th April, Mumbai


In order to celebrate Bihar Day in Mumbai, Nitish Kumar is supposed to come in Mumbai. The Bihar Day will be celebrated on 15th Day following which Raj Thackeray, Nitish Kumar, and Uddhav Thackeray have come face-to-face.
Raj Thackeray said that the Bihar Day was on 22nd March and Nitish Kumar wants to celebrate it on 15th April, we will not allow this.
On the other hand Uddhav Thackeray said that if they want they can celebrated Bihar Day on 15th of April but in return they must also allow us to celebrate Maharshtra Divas in Bihar on 1st of May.
