9 accused were sentenced life imprisonment in the Ode Malav Bagol Massacre in which 3 people were burnt alive. Special Court declared judgement against the accused, 200 documents were presented and statements of 67 witnesses were taken. One more accused was convicted in the same case and he was sentenced six months imprisonment. Whereas 31 people were acquitted.

18 gets life imprisonment with Rs. 5,800 penalty whereas the other 5 are awarded with 7 years of jail with Rs. 3,800 of penalty in the Ode massacre during communal riots of 2002. 23 people were burnt alive in a house in Ode during the 200 Gujarat Massacre.
The court has also noted that these people did not have any criminal background except the massacre.
The defense lawyer said that they will challenge this verdict in the High Court.
