Three of a family died as Ajit Patel, his wife and two kids committed suicide. The family was in debt of 35 lakh. Ajit Patel was rushed to hospital in critical condition whereas his wife, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son died.
Two suicide notes were found one was written by Ajit Patel and other by his wife.

Recently, various questions were raised regarding the authenticity of the laddoo that are distributed as prasad in Sai Baba’s temple located at Shirdi.
It was alleged that adulterated ghee was used in making laddoos (sweets) even as a private report suggested presence of 12 per cent trans fat in the samples.
The Ahmed Nagar district Food and Drug Administration last month disposed of a stock of “rotten” laddoos of 4.50 lakh, after devotees complained of bitter taste and foul smell. It was found that acidic substances were found in the laddoo.

A youth from Halol named Bharat Bhatti went to Maa Kaali temple located at the peak of Pavagadh. On his way back his leg slipped and he went down rolling in the 3000 feet deep gorge on Pavagadh hill. Lucky was he as he grabbed some bushes and found a small rock on which he could rest. He tried and called one of his friends who later informed the entire incident to Bharat’s family.
The firemen and district administration reached the spot later. They tried to locate Bharat by failed to do so as he couldn’t specify his exact location. By Saturday night, Vadodara firemen too joined the rescue efforts along with city-based mountaineers.
However, due to heavy fog the operation was suspended for few hours. By Sunday morning Bharat was located and with great efforts was rescued after 20 hours.
However, he was completely tired and upset and also suffered fracture on his hands and some other minor injured. Hence, he was rushed to a nearby hospital as soon as he was pulled out from the deep gorge.

The terror of car burglary has once again increased in Ahmedabad. On one occasion a Dr. Zaveri parked his car just for 5-10 minutes and the thieves broke glass of his car stealing valuables alongwith $2000, Rupees 10,000 cash, 2 ATM cards and 1 credit card.
Rishi Sharma’s car glass was also broken in the same manner from which 1 laptop, 1 hard disk, and other valuables were stolen.
Looking at the similarity in both the thefts, police suspects that car burglary gang is once again active in the city.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation on Thursday organized a workshop to discuss the project to provide water 24×7. In the next six months, the corporation intends to start survey in the city for the project which is estimated to be around Rs 1,500 crore.
Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Municipal Commissioner told us that, “at present there are 12.5 lakh water connections in the city and we provide 160 liter per capita per day. And with the help of this project we will be able to bring down the waster of water”
As per the project every house will be fitted with a meter which will enable the people to pay for water according to the usage.

Good news for students who aspires to take admission to Intermediate Course. They no longer need to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. Commerce graduates or post-graduates who have secured an aggregate minimum of 55% of the total marks or 60% in other streams will not have to take the entrance test. The relaxation also applies to students in intermediate level of company secretaryship and chartered accountancy.

On 16th August jewellery was stolen from the bag of a family who came to a jeweler’s shop. It was found that on the same day two women came into that shop who stole the jewellery from the bag that was kept on a sofa while the owners were busy buying jewellery. However, with the help of CCTV Camera that was installed in the shop the women are nabbed.
It can be seen very clearly how the two accused stole jewellery so easily. Police has arrested both the women and has also recovered the stolen jewellery from them.

Before a few days it was reported that 9 cataract patients lost their vision after their operation in Ravishankar Eye Hospital, Anand. Patient’s family members claims that any single doctor had not seen in hospital after operation and no one is ready to take responsibility.
A police complaint is now lodged against this after 20 days. This complaint is lodged against 7 doctors and other staff of the hospital. However, police says that they are yet to investigate in the case to reach the core of the entire issue and only after that they will b able to says what caused the loss of vision in these patients.
