Daughter of a BJP MLA has alleged him of corruption. Ritu has accused her father Kalu Virani, MLA from Savarkundla assembly constituency in Amreli district, of corruption and ill treating her.
Ritu called a press conference in Amreli where she laid these allegations on her father. She also said that she has written to chief minister Narendra Modi not to give a ticket to her father for contesting the forthcoming assembly polls as he has amassed wealth through corruption.
However, Virani has denied all the charges leveled by his daughter against him.
Refuting all the allegations Virani said Ritu is mentally sick and said,
“She is undergoing treatment for the last 20 years for her disturbed mental health. She is gullible and she is being used by my opponents ahead of the assembly polls to defame me.”

Robert Vadra shuts down his facebook account

Post Kejriwal’s allegation, Robert Vadra, once again for his post on his Facebook account. This controversy arose when he wrote : “Mango people (aam admi) in banana republic.”
IAC activist Arvind Kejriwal slammed Vadra for his ‘Mango people’ remark.
Vadra reportedly said that people do not understand jokes and hence he is closing down his facebook account. He said he will be making a new account and will included selected people in his list.
On the other hand, Kejriwal said that he will be reveal more fact about Vadra at a press conference on Tuesday.
In between, P Chidambaram said that the government can’t probe in DLF deals. He said,the government cannot look into private transactions unless there are specific allegations of corruption’.

Narendra Modi says Sonia Gandhi’s speech was substance less

Describing Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s speech at Rajkot as “lackluster”, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said her party tread carefully and is scared of speaking in the state, fearing a backlash.
He asked Sonia Gandhi to come up with ‘substantive issues’ during the campaign for the assembly elections.
Modi said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s address to rally in Rajkot was devoid of any substance.
He said that there was nothing in her speech and when the media couldn’t find anything interesting, they published big photographs of her.

Gujarat Election Poll to be held on Dec 13- 1st phase, 2nd phase polling on Dec 17

The poll bugle has been sounded by the Election Commission of India for the states of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. While the polling will be done in Himachal Pradesh in a single phase, Gujarat will witness a two-phase assembly election.

According to the dates announced by the Election Commission, Himachal Pradesh will vote on November 4 and Gujarat will go to polls on December 13 and December 17. However, the counting in both the states has been scheduled for December 20.

Since the fight in both States is between the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress, political circles see it as a given that the results will spill over into national politics, impacting its course in the coming months.

PM Manmohan Singh faces protest at Vigyan Bhawan

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh face protest while he walked to deliver speech in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. As PM walked to dais to deliver speech a man stood on the desk, took off his shirt and shouted, “Prime Minister, go back. Roll back diesel prices.”The person is identified as Lawyer Santosh Kumar Suman , a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
