Students of Birlasagar Higher Secondary School, Porbandar, were beaten up badly with steel scale by their teacher. The teacher, Mahesh Dutani, bashed up all the students of his class just because they started shouting as power came back. The incident occurred when there was no electricity in the school and it came back after a little while. Due to this the student started screaming which agitated the teacher who just entered the class. Hence he punished everyone by hitting with the scale.
This injured the students and many of them started bleeding as well. Later the student informed their parents and NSUI was informed about this incident who reached the school and chaos was created in the office of the principal. The principal said to set an inquiry committee to reach the core of the action.
When asked, the teacher in his defend blamed the system and organization of school as a reason behind his frustration. He said that the over crowded classes, irregularities and over loaded work as responsible of his frustration. Hence the accused teacher’s allegations are also a serious issue which demands a probe as well.
