On Wednesday a school van carrying 12 school students caught fire. However no one was injured as all students were evacuated from the van in time. Fire brigade officials reached the spot immediately and took the fire control. Reason of fire is uncertain.
It is said that a teacher filled hundred mothers need. but this incident is exception. School Principal of Dipchand Guard kidnapped 2 girls of school. police has filed complaint against school principal in case of kidnapping and police investigation to find school principal is going on.
A bus of Saraswati Vidya School in Mehsana over turned as the drunk driver was over speeding the bus. Fortunately, the 20 students that were in the bus sustained merely minor injuries and escaped death.
The driver was newly appointed and prior a complaint was also made to the school authorities about his over speeding but no action was taken against him. The driver was driving the school bus in drunk condition since last one week.
However, in the accident the driver died.
Irate parents says that the school authorities shown irresponsibility in this case. The authorities did not comment on the entire accident.
PIL has been filed in Gujarat High Court after one of the city schools made new rules to give admission for kids on the basis of their height and weight. A kid must have more than 95 and less than 110 cm height to get admission in KG. Also, their weight should be between 15 to 20 kg. Because of this many students cannot get admission in this school. Because of this Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Committee has filed a PIL in High Court to challenge the rules.
Student of Kishor Academy of Timbavadi in Junagadh has blamed the Manager and
Hostel superintendent of beating him up and giving him electric shock. He said that just because he was not taking his morning breakfast,he received these punishments. Further, the parents of kid has also said that because the kid was given shock on his forehead he has become mentally retarded.
The parents have brought their kid back from the academy. The kid is as of now admitted at Rajkot Civil Hospital for treatment.
When contacted the academy officials they are dismissing any such charges on them. Police is probing in this case further.
Darsh Gondaliya is 5 year old and is suffering from diabetes from last one year. Darsh Gondaliya was refused for admission by a school. According to parents of Darsh initially the school admitted Darsh but when they came to know that he is diabetic they cancelled his admission.
Gujarat Secondary Education Board cancelled registration of 6 schools in Rajkot. These includes, Krishna International School, Krishna Higher Secondary School, J K DHolakiya School, S G Dholakiya School, V J Modi School and Divine School. Apart from this the board has cancelled approval of science stream of Kalyan High School.
Education Board had given notice to all these schools and while checking they found that the rules were violated such as not sending teachers for paper checking, not maintaining register, salary not given through cheques, and admitting more students than approved.
Alognwith cancelling the recognition of these schools, the board has asked local authority to give admission to the students of these schools in other schools. The step of cancelling recognition has brewed up many discussions in the educational field.
The Gujarat government has formulated a set of resolutions for all government and private schools.
These resolutions will be implemented from June next year. The government resolutions states that schools can decide their own fee standard at the primary level i.e either junior KG or Class I so that parents can take a call if the infrastructure of the school is worth the fee and whether it fits into their budget or not. Moreover, the schools can only hike their fee annually by not more than 10%.
Last year, several private schools increased their fee by more than 15% which agitated the parents. A school even hiked its fee by 25%.
These regulations also declare that now all the teachers will be paid their salaries through salary bank accounts.
Beware your naive kids could suffer from severe back problems if they are not taken proper. A report says that carrying heavy bags can cause serious back problem. According to rules school children should not carry bags which weighs 10% more than their own weight. Bit it is found children carry bag weighing 35% more than their weight which can cause problem in long run.
A teacher held Harshil’s hands and the other teacher bashed the kid. This punishment was given to a 2nd grade student because he was taking to his friends. The incident took place is Shahjanand School on Friday 24th of March.
Parents of the kid says that when they approached the principal of the school they threatened that if they will file a police complain regarding this then they will rusticate the boy.
When contacted the principal, he accepted that the incident happened and said that will suspend the teachers. Parents has filed a police complain and investigation is going on.
