18 feet Shivling of Baba Amarnath melted to 6 feet, Amarnath

The Shivling of Baba Amarnath has melted from 18 to 6 feet from 25 June i.e., merely 17 days. Devotees in large number goes for the auspicious Amarnath Yatra. Hence now it is difficult to say whether the devotees will be able to get a glimpse of the Shivling or not.
The main reason behind this is the increased number of visitors. Because of the large number of people the temperature around the Shivling has increased which is melting. Approximately, 4 lakh devotees visited and 20 thousand devotees were without registration. Hence, devotees are upset with this melting of the Shivling.

Celebration of Guru Purnima at Swaminarayan temple, Ahmedabad

On the occasion of Guru Purnima, Pramukh Swami Maharaj was present at the Swaminarayan Temple in Shahibaugh. Guru Purnima was celebrated traditionally here and devotees were present in large number. People from across India as well as from other countries arrived to get a glimpse of Pramukhs Swami Maharaj.

Kids and youths presented dance performance on this occasion.

Boat overturned during the Nauka Vihar of Asharam Bapu, Valsad

In Kosamba a Nauka Vihaar program was organized by Asharam Bapu Ashram. On the coast of Kosamba scores of devotees gathered to enjoy the boat ride. But due to over load on the boat it turned and all the devotees fell in sea. With the help of local devotees were evacuated. It is reported that one is dead and one is missing. However it is learned that the Ashram did not take permission from sub division magistrate before organizing the boat ride.

Special preparation in Jagannath Temple following Rathyatra, Ahmedabad

Like every year, this year as well large number of people are going to participate in the upcoming rathyatra. But this year it is going to be more special as the Jagannath Temple Trust has decide to make special arrangement for the devotees to worship the Lord. The devotees will be able to witness Lord Jagannath’s decoration, and other such process.
For this the trust has decided to demolish the hall of the temple and make an open space in front of the temple.
Due to this lacs of devotees will be able to worship the lord closely.

An auction of the ornaments were organized at the Siddhivinayak Temple. But shockingly not even a single devotee was present in this auction. Trustees believed that due to inflation this situation has emerged.
The temple authorities were upset with this as well and expect that next time the auction gets positive response as ever.

Shobha Yatra of Goddess Umiya in Ahmedabad

The Rath of Goddess Umiya who is the family goddess of Patidar community reached Ahmedabad. In Ranip area a Shobha Yatra of the goddess was carried out in which city patidar as well as NRI patidars participated.
In the next days this jyoti rath will be taken to America and Canada and this shobha yatra will be catered in various cities.
The rath will go at every Patel’s home in America and Canada for two years and then a temple will be founded.

Preparation of 135 Rathyatra, Ahmedabad

135 historic Rathyatra is near and the preparation of the yatra is on its full form. Lord Jagannath, sister Subhadra, and brother Balram will travel around the city on their respected raths as it is practiced since last 62 years.
The weight of lord Jagannath’s rath is more the 3 ton and the weight of its wheel is 80 kg. The repairing work of the rath is going on. Since last 40 years Babubhai is looking after the rath and now his son has taken the responsibility of the rath as his father is facing health problems. Lacs of devotees arrives to see the historic rathyatra.
