A miniature artist, Pavan Kumar Sharma, in Surat made tiny iron whose size is of 17.5mm. The specialty of this iron is that despite of being a miniature it works like a real iron. One can use it for ironing. Apart from this the artist has also made a 16mm hookah, 13mm tea spot, 10mm shoes, 5mm cigarette and box, 3mm flag and 1mm kites and thread. By making these unique miniature, Pavan Kumar Sharma listed his name in India’s Book of Records 6 times.
All these miniatures functions same as their original size things.
His family is too proud of him and Mr. Sharma now has his eyes on Limca Book of Records.
In Puna region of Surat a new born infant who was born 24 hours back was thrown from the third floor of multi storey building in the wee hours of Thursday.
Residents of the apartment found the infant lying on the ground, the boy infant was immediately rushed to SMIMER hospital of Surat where he was admitted to ICU. The infant sustained multiple fractured and succumbed.
When family members of the infant quizzed it was revealed that mother of the infant threw him from the third floor of the building. Pooja and Jeetesh parents of the deceased infant are married from last six months, they did love marriage. The reason why Pooja threw her baby is still a mystery. Police has taken both parents in custody to probe in the matter.
Surprisingly Puja is saying that she did not know that she was pregnant. She got her normal periods and there she delivered the baby. She said she got scared as her in laws were sitting outside therefore she put the baby in plastic bag and threw it from building. After that what happened she does not remember.
On this Psychiatrist is saying that during delivery it happens that the mother is subjected to hormonal changes and in some case they lose they mental balance, this could be reason why Pooja threw the infant.
As infant is dead now police has filed murder case against mother.

Two day ago it was reported that a 4 year old died after falling in water tank. Mother of the deceased child told police that a thieve robbed theft Rs 500 and mobile and in this attempt he threw the four year old in water due to which the child succumbed to death.
But on police investigation two days later a shocking revelation was made by the mother that the child due to negligence of her. Due to negligence he fell in water tank, fearing the mother plotted the story.
Surat Diamond Association and Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council has decided to allot social security cards to diamond artists. Work for preparing security cards has been resumed, on October 1 MoU will be signed.
Surat Diamond Association has taken this decision so that a data base of diamond artist can be prepared. Person holding this status card would be able to take advantage of all the state and central government policies.
Diamond artists have welcomed the decision and have registered their name to procure the social security card. Artists are happy that finally they will get a status card which can be used for official work.
In 2008 nearly two lakh diamond artists became unemployed due to recession, at that time state and Government wanted to help them but due to lack of data base they could not do so. With the Social Security card diamond artist wont be deprived of such advantages any more.
