On Wednesday when AMC officials approached to demolish Sambhavnath Jain temple in Vejalpur they faced fierce protest by devotees of Jain Derasar. According to officials the temple building is illegal and need to be demolished.
The temple authorities have urged its devotees to assemble at the spot when corporation officials came to bring the temple down, thousands of devotees gathered to save their temple. Around 50 Maharaj Sahebs (religious leaders) had come to the temple, which the temple authorities had mentioned on the notice board.

Treasury of Mahalakshmi temple was opened to begin treasure counting. The Mahalakshmi temple of Kolhapur is 900 year old. The treasure was opened by temple authorities after forty year. But many obstruction came in way while treasure counting. On the first day the key of treasure room went missing. Few people said that its not good sign thus counting should be stopped.

An unusual incidence of robbery has took place in Anand where even after theft no FIR is lodged as both police and complainant has trust on the robber.
On Wednesday priest of Badiya dev temple was surprised after reading note on Notice board. The note was written by robber that ” Jhuth Bole Kauwa Kate, I am taking only rupees 10,000 and will return it as i get the job”. The priest trust the robber as 2 lakh cash was there in temple despite that he took only 10,000 rupees. Priest has not lodged complaint.
Lost boy found from temple opposite to police station, Ahmedabad

A boy who went missing was found from a temple which was nearby a police station. Ironically, the police did not make any efforts to find the boy who was missing since last three months. Azhar was lost in February following which his father lodged a missing complaint. The boy was in the same area and was living in a temple. When no one came to take the boy temple mahant contacted the police but police did not gave any satisfactory reply. Hence, the mahant contacted Child Line Organization who helped the boy meet his family members. The temple is right opposite to the police station where the boy was living.
Hence this incident has raised a lot of question against the working of police. However, police says that the photograph given while lodging a complaint was 2-3 years old which became a hindrance in finding the boy.
